Bridal Lips are Pretty In Pink

Pretty in Pink is not just one of my favorite movies from childhood, but a lip color in blush that many brides select to wear on their wedding day. Pink is a hue that comes in many shades that every bride can wear. Brides can choose from pale pink, hot pink, fuchsia or Barbie pink.

Whether it’s a soft shimmer blush or a bright shimmer gloss, for your destination wedding, think pink! Pink will always be a girl’s favorite color, but a touch of pink in your makeup palette is very ladylike.

My favorite high-shine shades of pink lip gloss to use on a bride are Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss. Not only do they look great, they smell amazing.

New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu interview on Tavis Smiley Report

Three 10 hour days outside working with director Jonathan Demne and Tavis Smiley was a challenge. The hours was not bad since I am use to 12 hours or more when on the L’OREAL PARIS makeup tour. It was the heat, and I still don’t understand how Tavis did it everyday wearing black linen. But I guess that’s why I was hired to be the makeup artist. I think I still have a tan from the extreme heat…lol.  It was an pleasure working with Tavis Smiley & Jonathan Demne. I always enjoy working with now Mayor of New Orleans Mitch Landrieu. Mayor Landrieu has a great personality that many may not get to see but he cracks me up every time I work with him.

Tavis Smiley was in town to film the second half of his story; New Orleans Been in the Storm Too Long. It will premiere on Wednesday July 21, 2010 at 8pm/7pm c

Our buddy Lane MacDougall the GM at Whiskey Blue New Orleans was an honoree. He invited my husband and I to attend. Thanks Lane for giving me an excuse to go shopping…Because Lane is a very good friend of ours we went to support him and the charity he supports. To our surprise we knew a few more honorees.

I Got To Try On New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Ring

Last Wednesday @misssassy380 and I were one of a few in New Orleans to see The Official New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Ring right after it was received. @misssassy380 selected for us to have girl bonding night @RooseveltNO .We went to dinner to catch up, talk about Essence Music Festival & Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. After dinner we moved over to the bar enjoying our 5th Bellini’s.
A few familiar faces started coming into the bar all carrying my favorite, a sky blue Tiffany & Co bag. Of course we both recognized that bag. In March the kids and I purchased Miss Sassy birthday gifts from there. So when the guys and their wives came over by us, Miss Sassy asked if that was the rings, of course we could only ask but to try the ring on.
My buddy Garrett Hartley was so excited that night. He kept hugging me and he was so cute saying he now has juice to request me to be his makeup artist for now on. I don’t think I ever seeing him with that much bling. I met Garrett when he wasn’t playing so I really didn’t know much about what position he played. But I am proud of him. Ladies…he’s a sweet young baby.
The ring is glamxurious…those diamonds are heavy. My little finger was hurting the next day…lol.
How amazing to share that moment with baby girl…
In the proud tradition on honoring achievement, Tiffany & Co., creator of the Vince Lombardi Trophy and Super Bowl XLIV championship rings, introduces the New Orleans Saints collection, featuring the Super Bowl XLIV champions’ commemorative logo. Coral Lips for Your Destination Wedding

This Spring shades of Coral lipstick is popping up everywhere and many brides have been walking down the aisle wearing a touch of Coral lip color. Soft petal or bright tangy shades are great for any tropical destination weddings. A Coral lip color will complement any sun-kissed bride if selected correctly. Fair skin to brown skin ladies can all wear the shade of Coral; sheer to vibrant. What’s great about this hue is it can be worn with a neutral eye, bronzed skin or a strong dark eye and contoured cheek.

On Fair skin; sheer Coral with a hint of pink will be perfect.

On Medium skin; a true Coral or Peach color topped with a high gloss.

On Olive skin; deep Coral on a bronzed skin is flawless.

On Dark skin; bold, bright shades would pop, making your lips the main focus.

On the bride I used the following product;
*Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Airbrush Makeup in Blush
*L’OREAL PARIS Hip Cream Eye liner in Black
*L’OREAL PARIS Colour Riche Lipstick in Peach Fuzz
*Victoria’s Secret Lip gloss in Slice of Heaven

No more thinking that Coral lipstick is for your grandmother in Florida. Coral is the new summer pink, so retirees beware.

Saturday Bride:Darla B.

My second bride of the day was a glamxurious bride one that luvs makeup (6 different tubes of mascara)…really. She doesn’t wear fake eyelashes because her lashes are really long and full. I was able to be as heavy handed when applying her eye makeup. Darla request were gold, green, and brown eyeshadow with a heavy eyeliner. = “UA-3446372-1”; urchinTracker();
Below are colors that I used on the bride for her wedding
*L’OREAL PARIS Hip Duo Eyeshadow Mischief
*L’OREAL PARIS Hip Cream Eyeliner in Black
*NYX Cosmetics Mosaic Powder Blush in Cafe
*L’OREAL PARIS Colour Riche Lipstick in Peach Fuzz
*NARS Cosmetics Lip gloss in Giza
Darla selected New Orleans wedding photographer Beebe and Corine Tran with Studio Tran and her FAB hair was done by Heather.
