| Ruth Gruber 101 years of age today |
Yesterday morning I was anxious about working with my client, journalist, photographer, and a former United States government official Ruth Gruber. Ruth, is one of five children of Russian Jewish Immigrant parents. Her life is definitely a good read and has made for a great documentary, a phenomenal woman. Because it was her birthday I knew today I had to have her makeup perfect because she had a busy itinerary. A screening of her film “Ahead of Time” was her first stop at The National Center For Jewish Film. So I knew I had to make sure I made her glamxurious. I had many highlights with her yesterday. Two of my favorite highlights was how she like to watch getting her makeup done. She asked me to place her large vanity makeup mirror on a stack of books so she can see what I was doing. Her one and only request was that I use lots of pinks. When I was done and was taking pictures she personally like to look at the pictures to see which one she approved…luved it!!!
On her lips I used; L’OREAL Paris Infallible Never Fail Lipliner in Red/Wine and L’OREAL Paris Caresse by Colour Riche in Cherry Tulle.
