Today Amy & I had a meeting at Lucy’s Ridgefield today to discuss doing another event with Lucy’s. Earlier this month Whip Salon did a Blowout Blitz which was a success at Lucy’s. So we’re thinking about bringing to Lucy’s a makeup event.
Today at Whip Salon we were trained of Kevin Murphy hair products. Master Stylist Maghen Cook organized to have a represented come out to share his knowledge with us. What I took away from the training is that Kevin Murphy is Skincare For Hair. WEIGHTLESSLY designed to deliver PERFORMANCE, STRENGTH and LONGEVITY. How Kevin Murphy help the environment is by utilizing packaging that is recyclable or biodegradable.
Great job Maghen for selecting Kevin Murphy for Whip Salon.
By now you’ve heard New York Fashion Week, Spring 2017 wrapped up last week. So many beautiful models and clothes graced the runways but I always look forward to the jaw-dropping hair and makeup. The outrageous the look the better because I get so inspired to try those gorgeous makeup looks on my clients. Some of the rich colors that I loved backstage this year were burnished bronze, copper, burgundy, and gold. These colors are perfect as we head into the Fall season. What I like about those colors is that they look really nice on all skin tones, complementing everyone’s hue.
One of the makeup looks that I did at New York Fashion Week I’m excited about bringing it back to my clients at Whip Salon. Being that I am the Makeup Creative Director, my job is to teach the team of makeup artists how to recreate the looks so that women can wear everyday.
To help you get started with the current makeup trends I selected eye shadows colors that will get you runway ready. Better you can just book an appointment with me and I can give you a customized Whip Fashion Week Makeup Look.
I am now taking bookings, and for your convenience we offer 3 different ways to book.
- Download our app iPhone and Android versions are available

When You’re Feeling Flirty What Perfume Do You Wear, well my scent of the month is Narciso Rodriguez Narciso. I luv any scent that celebrate sensuality. I luv the smell of musk, floral and woody all mixed together. The top note of Narciso is comprised of delicate, ultra-feminine accords of Bulgarian rose and gardenia that provide luminosity and subtlety, while the heart of musk. Narciso Rodriguez signature is warmed with amber. Then the base incorporates beautiful woody notes of cedar and vetiver that add natural elegance and strength. Now tell me that doesn’t sound sensual.
Bulgarian Rose, Gardenia, Musk, Amber, Cedar, Vetiver.
Seductive. Mysterious. Attractive.
In the morning I always start off my day enjoy a nice cup of tea from Donna Karan New York Blend (chamomile, ginger roots, & peppermint). I’ll go sit on the deck and just collect my thoughts and then I’ll have my time with GOD, thanking him for getting me through another day. As you know by now with Lupus, Lyme, & RA, I may look good on the outside but my body thinks I’m about 90yrs old. What I luv about the ladies I’ll be with today they both understand my health issue in they don’t push me to do things are get in there feelings when I can’t do things. Thanks Ilse for my GORG mug, anything NY or NOLA I luv!
Stopped by Great Northern Food Hall inside Grand Central Terminal to see what type of snacks they had.
Ilse & Annya went to check out their menu

Leaving out of ABC Carpet & Home, I’m glad Annya got me out of there cuz I would have spent my kids college tuition this month in this store. Decadent is not even the best word to describe this store. iDIE every time I’m there. Oooh, but I actually look fly. #justsaying
Made it to ABC Kitchen to have a bite to eat and of course have a few cocktails
Toasting to a variety of things; FRIENDSHIP, WOMEN IN BUSINESS, BEING WIVES, WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN…those watermelon mimosas were delicious!
Ilse, your striking is what the mirror should be telling you

When Caribbean Posh magazine asked me what were my Top 5 beauty products for the summer that I can’t live without, it was hard to choose. But here are my picks.
