A Beautiful Fall Saturday In Greenwich, CT

What a beautiful fall day here in Connecticut. Today I have makeup appointments at Warren Tricomi Salon in Greenwich, CT. It’s always nice to see on my appointments sheet that I have  repeat clients coming to see me today.

A lot of the ladies that was coming in were attending the Make A Wish event. I was also schedule to do one of the host of the event so I had to make sure that I give her my glamxurious makeup special look. It’s always nice to be in Greenwich doing makeup on the fabulous ladies that live there. They appreciate professionalism and beautiful makeup artistry.

Whenever I’m in Greenwich, I luv ordering my lunch from The Granola Bar. Their Chicken Chill is to die for and the Natural Sparkling Water from Found is lovely. My obsession is The Elderflower flavor now this is water that I’ll drink everyday if I could afford it.  Ladies, if you add a little Mionetto Prosecco to it, OMG!!!

Do You Know The Difference Between Champagne & Prosecco Because My Bartender Didn’t

As many of you know I’m a devoted Champagne and Prosecco drinker. My two favorite brands are Maison Veuve Clicquot and Mionetto Prosecco. I don’t need a special event or occasion to pop open a bottle of one of those fancy bubbles. Today during lunch I realized that a restaurant bartender didn’t know the difference between the two. Well, to keep the story short we noticed at lunch the bartender kept pouring us Prosecco but charged us for champagne. Everything was taking care of by the manager who was so embarrassed because the poor girl said she’s been doing this for some time because she didn’t know the difference.

Luv my Veuve Clicquot

Luv my Mionetto Prosecco

So, what’s the difference between Champagne & Prosecco? Here’s a tip about the two wines from Wine Folly

*The quick answer is Champagne is from France and Prosecco is from Italy, but there are some other things to know about both wines –especially if you like bubbly wine.

Champagne

Champagne is a sparkling wine made in the Champagne region of France around the city of Reims about 80 miles (130 km) Northeast of Paris.

  • Made with ChardonnayPinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes
  • Produced using a costly method called the ‘Traditional Method’
  • standard pour of Brut Champagne has ~128 Calories (12% ABV)
  • $40 for a good entry-level Champagne

Prosecco

Prosecco is a sparkling wine made in the Veneto region of Italy around the city of Treviso about 15 miles (24 km) North of Venice.

  • Made with Prosecco (a.k.a. Glera) grapes
  • Produced using an affordable method called the ‘Tank Method’
  • standard pour of Prosecco has ~121 Calories (11% ABV)
  • $12-14 for a good entry-level Prosecco

Read more about it on Wine Molly

If you didn’t feel like doing all that reading basically champagne have persistent bubbles, its stronger with a drier taste and prosecco  has a lighter, spritzy bubbles and the taste is more fruity and sweet, at least to me. So, now I’m wondering how often does this happen. Have anyone else ever caught your bartender pouring you the wrong wine but charged you for a higher end wine?

Happy Mother’s Day To All The Amazing Mother’s

I started my morning very early had to be up for 6am to get ready to go to Sephora to coach a Beauty Class. After the class I only accepted 1 appointment because it was a very sweet client who trust me to do her daughter makeup for all her special events. Angie shared with me that she has never gotten her makeup done before. So I had to treat her on Mother’s Day.

By 1pm I was home celebrating with my family doing everything that I enjoy doing daily especially when I’m feeling well.  My son told me everyday is Mother’s Day because we all spoil each other. That is so true, I try to raise the kids to be good everyday to one another not just on holidays. I love been home for holidays entertaining with the family. I hate going out to eat or celebrating with a lot of people. We all like the intimacy of being home celebrating (eating & drinking) together. The weather started out very nasty with a rain storm, by 2pm I was outside enjoying the lake in eating crawfish outside while sippin on prosecco. We had a fantastic dinner then movie time. I only made to 1.5 movies, crashing before 10pm. I was so grateful for my day that I used up all of my energy.

Thanks Family for a nice day! I hope everyone spoiled their mom’s yesterday.

My daughter order me crawfish cuz she know how much I miss it. We like ordering from Louisiana Crawfish Company. Always fresh and nice size crawfish

2 treats that I can never get enough of: Mionetto Prosecco  & crawfish
