Long Wearing Makeup Products To Use On Prom Night

It’s prom season everywhere and last weekend I was busy with getting the girls from Brookfield and New Fairfield, Connecticut high schools makeup ready for their proms.

There were many that I couldn’t help with their makeup, so I thought about the girls who will be doing their own makeup. If your not able to book an appointment at a salon, at a makeup counter, or have a glam squad come to your home, then you will need a few key long wearing items to help your makeup last all night.

Being that I’m a makeup artist I always make sure that I use a few must have items so I selected 4 (foundation, eyeliner, lipsticks, setting spray) must have items that will be important to achieving a long wearing glam look. Hopefully this will help you pull off your favorite Pinterest or Instagram makeup look.

It’s Certification Day At Sephora Today

Today was such a good day at Sephora. As you know I’m a Senior Artist at Sephora and one of my job description is certifying the cast to do makeup at the beauty studio. Today’s cast member is someone that I have been spending a lot of time with observing and coaching her for this day. During the 2 hours certification the participant has to do two makeup looks; Natural & Tri-Color. To see her do both look and the growth in her work made me so happy & proud..Yes she passed!

During the movie I started having a flare up…the pain was horrible my body was going numb was having chest & arm pains. I stayed through the entire movie but couldn’t stay afterwards. Hubby got me in a cab we picked up our car at Zulema home and he drove like a mad man to get me home… that damn lupus, always spoiling my fun!

APPLICATION TIPS:

*As a bronzer apply using fingertips, glide over the areas where the sun hits naturally-the tops of cheeks, forehead, and the bridge of the nose. Smooth and blend into skin.

*For an all over healthy glow mix into NARS Monoi Body Glow, Tinted Moisturizer, Foundation. Also try it with NARS Hot Sand Illuminator. Smooth and blend onto skin.

To apply any type of powder bronzer on the body to really enhance that bronzed look try using NARS Yachiyo Kabuki Brush or the Hanamachi Kabuki Brush.
