My first assignment during Essence Music Festival in New Orleans was with Hennessy. The Diva Lounge partnered with Carol’s Daughter for a swanky reception on South Peters to honor four notable females in Louisiana. Aria & Nicole reached out to me to be a part of giving the Hennessy models my signature glamxurious makeup look. Nicole set up a suite for me at the International House Hotel so I could do makeup on the models. As usual I brought tons of yummy makeup with me and a variety of brands to choose from. But once I spoke with Nicole I knew the delicious paletter that I was going to use. I wanted the girls to all have a consistent look. This is actually what I normally do with Hennessy for their New York events. The makeup palette I decided to work with were shades that I knew that would look gorgeous on all the boogie down brown skin tones.
Read more about the fabulous event here written by Shayna D from The Diva Lounge. Thanks Shayna, for sharing the pictures with me. YOU ROCK!!!!

As soon as my flight landed in New York I had to get home change clothes and head over to the Intrepid for DJ Cassidy and Hennessy Black One Year Anniversary party. There were a total of 18 female models to get ready. My team consist of three makeup artists to help with the look that was chosen by Kellie from Hennessy. There were a total of 4 looks that she invisioned with blue eye shadow being the main color for all the models. The hair was led by Maisha Teacher and the theme for the hair was the 1940’s up-do.
The guest of honor DJ Cassidy arrived in his bright yellow suit and matching bow tie. His cake was six foot tall shaped in the Hennessy bottle. The signature drinks were Black Beauty garnished with black berries & Rock Candy with the rock candy garnishing the drink. Some of the celebrity guests were: Adrienne Bailon, Anthony Anderson, Amanda Warner (Musician, MNDR), Chanel Iman (model, Victoria’s Secret), Charlotte Ronson, Damaris Lewis (model, “Sports Illustrated”), Doug E. Fresh, Carmelo Anthony, NBA baller Dahntay Jones, DJ KIss, DJ M.O.S , Jaslene Gonzalez (“America’s Next Top Model”), Kirstie Alley (who was dancing up a storm), Maxwell, Tyson Beckford, O’Neal McKnight, Patricia Field, Q-Tip (guest DJ), Russell Simmons (we love him and he is at EVERY party), Samantha Ronson, Swizz Beatz,
