I spent my Friday night in New York working and celebrating with one of the most fabulous woman I know that work in the fashion industry, Felita Harris. I arrived to
Hotel Andaz, a chic boutique hotel in midtown Manhattan. When I arrived to her room it was such a beautiful setting waiting for me even though it was really for Felita. A makeup artist dream that all their clients would greet them with red roses and
Ruinart champagne. I think her boyfriend did a great job setting up tonight celebration. So many favorite things I don’t know which item was the best that he arranged.
I loved this birthday gift where Felita could choose from the three European cooking schools where she would like to go in learn how to cook.
Ruinart champagne is a remarkable tasting wine. It’s exceptional aroma palette is made up of pineapple, pink peppercorn, citron, lemon, jasmine, ginger and cardamon. Almost sounding like notes from a beautiful perfume.
A few pieces of the jewelry that Felita will wear tonight. She’s always traveling all over the world with her job I’m sure she brought these pieces in a fabulous country.
I decided to set up to do her makeup in the bathroom because the lighting & counter space was best. I just wanted to work in the room with the most rose petals.
Boyfriend had more champagne delivered to the room while she was getting glam for her party.
Felita’s assistant text me a picture of her dress in advanced so I knew what look I wanted to create for her tonight. In person the dress is just glamxurious. My inspiration for the look was the golden globe statuette. I wanted Felita to look effortlessly pretty with a soft sultry eye in a sheer pink cheek in lip followed by flirty individual lashes. After makeup I bronzed her skin for a gorgeous glow on her flawless brown skin.
After I finished getting Felta glam her older sister Tracey came by and I help her with her makeup as well.Tracey is a talented producer best known for reality shows like; Being Bobby Brown, The Houstons & Boston Finest. I’ve worked with Tracey a few times of some of her projects. While we were wrapping up Felita received a surprise video from her boyfriend giving her a sneak peek of what the table setting looked like over at the luxurious
Beauty & Essex restaurant. He did an amazing job with dressing the table at this lavish restaurant. Side note, women can received a complimentary glass of champagne in the ladies room…now I know why there’s a meeting in the ladies room.
