Makeup Lovers: My Glamxurious Makeup Class At Erno Laszlo

My first makeup Master Class at the Erno Laszlo Institute in Soho, I must say was a success. In attendance were fellow makeup artists; new and pros, as well as makeup lovers, and challenged makeup wearers. 
I shared my tips & tricks that I use when working on my clients and on set. I prep the face first with Erno Laszlo Transphuse Day Serum. I utilized makeup from some of fav makeup brands; Flower Beauty, Stila Cosmetics, Nicka K, L’OREAL Paris, and Smashbox  to demonstrate techniques. 
I always get asked about selecting the right foundation, concealer, and how to contour & highlight. So this class, I focused on foundations, concealers, and techniques/tips for face shaping. I will be doing 1-on-1 classes, makeup lessons, tips on how to work in the industry, as well makeup applications & eye lash extensions at the Institute. As of now, my set day at Erno Laszlo will be Thursday unless booked on set. Being such a glamxurious place to work, I of course will be adding more dates.

Behind The Scene: Ernest Alexander S/S 2014 Menswear During Fashion Week

My first New York Fashion Week show of this year started with doing makeup at Ernest Alexander Spring/ Summer 2014 Presentation in Soho. Just like a designer dreams of showcasing their collection at New York Fashion Week and models dream of walking at Fashion Week, us makeup artists & hair stylists share that same dream. When the key makeup artist Diana Manzanares called me to be a part of her makeup team I was elated. Hair Room Service was the team that was in charge of the makeup artists. 

Beauty Blender and Evolution Man were the makeup sponsors so we had great makeup items and products to work with. Because a lot of makeup brands don’t carry darker shades being a pro makeup artists you learn to bring additional products to use so I also brought with me Stila Stay All Day Concealer because they carry darker shades. I also brought with me X Compound organic gloss, L’OREAL Paris True Match powder and my favorite absolute makeup cleansing tissue from Nicka K.

Created Effortless Makeup During Market Week For Donna Karan International

During Donna Karan International Market Week I created a different makeup look each day. It’s always easy to execute the looks that I have in my creative head when working with gorgeous canvas. 

Today’s look was inspired by my love for exotic locations like Capri. An island in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in the Campania region of Italy. 

I love to see beautiful women made up but effortless makeup is best. So I selected products from L’OREAL Paris, Stila Cosmetics, and Nicka K New York. This is my twist on a modern day Capri Girl visting New York, wear Donna Karan, rocking Paul Andrew sexy shoes.

My makeup palette for today’s look. I wanted rich warm brown  and coral colors so I selected makeup items from L’OREAL Paris, Stila cosmetics and Nicka K New York to create the makeup looks for Donna Karan Market Week.

How I Kept Brad Goreski Flawless For His Old Navy Segment on Katie Couric

It started out really ugly and I was a little disappointed because I got up to do my hair and makeup really glamxuriously for Brad Goreski. I thought I left ugly weather in Connecticut it was ugly, but by the time I got to New York it was uglier. Regardless how much Elnett satin hairspray I sprayed in my hair, it just wasn’t cute any longer. I arrived at Old Navy in SOHO and set up my area before Brad arrived. I’m a fan of Brad so I knew what products I would need to groom him for the “How To Upgrade Your Style With Old Navy” segment with Katie Couric. I selected all of my to go to men products from L’OREAL Paris and my favorite hair products. For makeup I selected Stila Cosmetics Stay All Day HD Foundation and I used L’OREAL Paris True Match Powder.

I knew Brad had entered the store because I could hear his voice as he was greeted by the ladies from Old Navy. When they introduced Brad to me he was more fabulous than on his Bravo Reality TV Show, It’s a Brad, Brad World. He was wearing this amazing fuchsia Burberry trench coat, purple shirt, eggplant bow tie and black fleece pants. Creating A Glamxurious Sultry Makeup Look After #Sandy

Like many Tri-State residents my week was filled with #Sandy challenges, a tree in my home, no power, no heat, and eating like we are on a camping trip. All my assignments were cancel so when I got a call to work with Jade I was thrill. It felt so good to pick up my makeup brushes again and create something glamxurious. The team consist of hair stylist Eric Williams from Top 5 Management, wardrobe stylist Keltoum Mazid, and photographer Sarah McColgan. We shot at Sarah glam studio in New Jersey so I left Danbury, CT at 6:45am. The car picked us up at Jade apartment at 10:30am. The rest was history!

Stila Cosmetics HD Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer
High Definition makeup has become the new trend in the beauty industry with makeup lovers. Not sure if many woman really understand why they are buying it but they know along with BB cream they must have it. Last month Stila cosmetics came out with 16 shades of HD foundation and I must say, it’s EVERYTHING! They did very well with producing shades that will work on all skin tones. I have been using it on assignments and my talent skin always look flawless on television. I actually like the look better than airbrush makeup. So many reasons why I’m a fan of this product, one being that it comes with a full coverage concealer that is inside of the cap. No more guessing what shade of concealer to purchase and carrying extra products. The concealer cover dark circles and blemishes very well. Both the foundation and concealer has a creamy texture that is oil free and gives a flawless full coverage finish that last all day. Even though it comes with a mini foundation brush, I like using my fingers and a damp beauty blender for a natural finish. 

I do like that it looks amazing on someone who doesn’t wear much makeup if applied very light and with Stila Beauty Balm. If your a makeup junkie and/or makeup artist check out Stila HD Foundation and Concealer. It’s definitely worth having in your makeup case.

My makeup look today is all about Stila cosmetics Stay All Day 

Today I was schedule to work for Stila cosmetics in Greenwich, CT one of my favorite locations to do makeup. With the beautiful weather we were having it was all about the luminous glow for the ladies booked for makeup. One of my schedule appointments was in town visiting, she had one makeup request and that was to have her skin glow like Jennifer Lopez. She was attending an outdoor party in Greenwich and wanted a new look. Hennessy Models Getting Glamxurious For The Diva Lounge & Carol’s Daughter Event

My first assignment during Essence Music Festival in New Orleans was with Hennessy. The Diva Lounge partnered with Carol’s Daughter for a swanky reception on South Peters to honor four notable females in Louisiana. Aria & Nicole reached out to me to be a part of giving the Hennessy models my signature glamxurious makeup look. Nicole set up a suite for me at the International House Hotel so I could do makeup on the models. As usual I brought tons of yummy makeup with me and a variety of brands to choose from. But once I spoke with Nicole I knew the delicious paletter that I was going to use. I wanted the girls to all have a consistent look. This is actually what I normally do with Hennessy for their New York events. The makeup palette I decided to work with were shades that I knew that would look gorgeous on all the boogie down brown skin tones.

Effortless Summer Makeup Look Using Stila Cosmetics

At my recent photo shoot on Sunday, the look for the models was natural makeup for both the photo shoot and video. The first makeup brand I reached for out of my makeup kit was Stila cosmetics. Fuchsia Sparkle Lips for MTV Host


On MTV #HIPHOPPOV TV show I gave one of the host, Sowmya a sultry look. Sparkle Lips was the main focus for this glam look. Instead of playing up her eyes, I wanted to give Sowmya a bright bold color lip with my new signature ” Sparkle Lip” applique. It’s trendy and I know she could rock it. So let the bling begin.
