Your eye brow shape can change how the shape of your face looks. Knowing the shape of your face is the first step to creating your most beautiful look. A perfect brow is very important to a bride on her wedding day. It’s the frame of the face and one of the first things everyone looks at.
Before their big day, many brides make appointments to see the “Eyebrow King,” Damone Roberts in Los Angeles. Damone has sculptured the perfect arch on the most beautiful and famous people including Madonna, Beyonce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Megan Fox, Vanessa Williams, Mandy Moore, Alicia Keys and Robert Downey Jr. Now, he has made himself accessible to every bride by developing an at-home kit to help women have perfect brows.
His fabulous kit includes everything you need to have world class eyebrows: tweezer, brow shadow, brow highlighter, brow pencil, scissors, brow gel, brow smudge brush, brow angled brush and sharpener. As a bonus Damone has included some of his most useful eyebrow tips as guides. If you want to create the perfect frame, this kit is a must.
The heavy black half moon liner that was a hit at the Valentino s/s show, has now made it’s way down the aisle for brides. The look created gives an appearance of dark eye shadow, but this high impact liner is being created with using a cream eye liner or kohl pencil. This makeup look is definitely not traditional bridal makeup, but nowadays what bride is? The main attraction on this bride will be the seductive eyes.
To get this dramatic bold eye, start out with applying a primer on the lid to keep the eyeliner in place. Apply the cream liner on the entire lid stopping just above the crease of the eye. I used my favorite L’OREAL HIP cream truth eyeliner in black. I like to apply it with a flat stiff brush then going back over it using my fingers to soften the look. Once it is well blended, I go back and line the eyes with a slanted eyeliner brush to give the eye a shape. Here you can do a round shape or the popular winged shape.
To give a more Barbella look add your favorite volume mascara (L’OREAL Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black) and a full set of lashes. On the lips, I prefer going with a very sheer lip color in pink or peach (Josie Maran lip gloss in Confession). I decided to opt for using a lip pencil because I wanted to keep the lips soft.
Doesn’t matter if you are a blonde, brunette or a redhead, we all want that radiant bronze look. No more stained hands or baking yourself and the sun damaging your skin. For an instant beauty tan gratification that is healthy for you, I suggest using a bronzer to give a flawless Caribbean finish. If applied correctly bronzer can be a girl’s best friend. Even I don bronzer on my boogie down brown skin.
To create a natural goddess-like glow or a radiant sun kissed look just sweep a bronzer powder on the face, over your cheeks, eyes, shoulders, décolletage, or anywhere you dare to bare skin. Matte bronzers are great for the face and shimmer bronzers are great on the eyes, shoulders and body.

The new must have item for brides is a 10 year makeup technique that has been the beauty secret in the fashion and entertainment industry-airbrush makeup. As you know Hi-Definition (Hi-Def) has shown up everywhere from television and cameras to camera phones. Airbrush makeup is the only makeup that stands up well in Hi-Def. Airbrush makeup was a big hit on the runway and now it’s made its way down the aisle and on the beach for my destination brides.
Over the weekend at Couture Designer Harold Clarke’s event “Weddings Couture”, I introduced the airbrush makeup to upcoming brides when I offered mini bridal consultations. Many of the brides have heard of airbrush and have seen it on television, but have never had the opportunity to experience being airbrushed. “What’s so special about airbrush?” was my most asked question.
Airbrush makeup gives a natural and flawless finish that photograph beautifully. With airbrush makeup, you can conceal blemishes and imperfections leaving the skin looking radiant and the bride stunning. If done correctly by a professional makeup artist, the ultra fine mist will leave no streaking or fading but still achieve a full-face application with very little makeup. The mist of silicone water-based & hypoallergenic should feel cool against the skin and actually very relaxing.
With airbrush makeup you can contour, highlight, and even give someone a natural looking tan. If covering of tattoo is needed, move over derma blend because now brides and their bridesmaids can also have their tattoos covered still leaving a natural coverage. What I like the best about working with airbrush makeup on my brides is not having to deal with brushes. It cuts back on having to stop and clean my brushes on a large wedding group.

A winter bride can be very fairy-tale and very romantic, especially when there is a light snowfall. But what’s not so fabulously is dreary and harsh winter light that can make any bride look less stunning in her pictures. On this day, your best beauty item will be a bronzer; a bronzing gel, a tinted gel, or a self tanning mist to achieve a natural summer glow on your skin. The L’OREAL Sublime Bronze line offer salon like self tanner, great to do especially if your going to wear a strapless dress. You want to make sure your foundation now matches your tan skin if you opt to do your own makeup.
When you are having a consultation with your makeup artist share with them that you would like to do more warm and glowing hues instead of dark and smokey. Select a full coverage foundation like L’OREAL Paris True Match Roller Foundation to help achieve a flawless pale skin. To compliment your bronzed skin select peach, coral, pink or a matte bronzer for the cheeks. If you decide to go with a red or a nude lip be sure to give them a high gloss.
Don’t forget to take care of the grooms favorite part-the lips. Be sure to nourish and moisturize them daily with lip conditioner weeks before your wedding day. My favorites are the lightweight L’OREAL Bare Naturale Gentle Lip Conditioner because it has minerals, conditioning Sweet Almond Oil and a soothing Vitamin E. I also love OCC’s Ultra-sheer Lip Balms, their deeply pigmented and moisturizing.
To be a radiant winter bride, sparkle less, shimmer more and turn your winter wedding into a winter wonderland.
