BEAUTY GOODIES: Lip Slip

Today I was introduced to something so sweet, and so girlie, that I had to share with you. You may already know the creator Sara Happ, from her extensive line of Lip Scrubs and her newest product The Lip Slip.

The Lip Slip is a super luxe balm that truly indulges a girl’s need for an extra pampering lip balm. I think this may be the best lip balm I have ever tried. It’s infused with Sweet Almond, Jojoba & Macadamia nut oils leaving the lips colorless, very rich, glossy and moist. The texture is a bit thick so you won’t need a lot. One of my favorite parts of the Lip Slip is that it’s pink and has tiny sparkles. This is a great item for anyone with dry chap lips to use at night. A perfect treat to use on all of my clients lips.

BLACKBERRY BROKE AGAIN

Just so you’ll know I got dirt mostly makeup inside my blackberry scroll ball again. So it’s not moving and will not allow me to use it. If you need me just shoot me an email and will respond at the end of the night. I hope I can get a replacement today, or tomorrow. I wish they would bring one to me that would be in a perfect world.

BEAUTY SPARK: Winged Eyeliner

The Winged Eyeliner look or cat eye which is what many girls call it, seems very hard to get right. So what’s the trick or should I say the tip to get this bad girl look?


You have to have a slant eyeliner brush, liquid liner shaped like a calligraphy pen or my favorite cream/gel eyeliner. The line should start as thin as possible on an angle and grow thicker toward the outer corner of your natural curve of your eye. I suggest taking the “wings” up to a few centimeters.

Another tip, but I can’t take credit for this one, is to trace a business card or an old credit card and angle your wings to match up. Makeup Artist Kathy Jeung likes to use this step when working with Gwen Stefani.

Just have a steady hand and practice, practice, practice. Try it out and let me know if it works for you.

Heidi Montag California Dream Hair

I was glued to the TV last night watching new episodes of my favorite soap opera of the new generation “THE HILLS”. And as much as I hate to admit it, Heidi Montag has been really stepping up her makeup and hair. I am not really sure who Heidi’s personal hair stylist is, but her hair color is gorgeous. The platinum blonde with the California highlights really works for her. I know there has been talk that she gets clip on extensions from Head Candy, but who in Hollywood doesn’t have hair extensions. Regardless, her hair is beautiful…California Dream.



To get Heidi Montag’s long gorgeous soft curls you will need:

*a rat tail comb

*a paddle brush

*a blow dryer

*hair spray

I suggest you should blow dry your hair with a large paddle brush to achieve volume and to smooth the cuticle. I am still in love with the Hair free round brush that I received because it works very well and helps to give volume. I always begin in the back, I spray the hair with my choice of hairspray, of course my pick is Elnett Satin Hairspray. I then take my rat tail comb and just comb each section of the hair before winding the hair in a vertical position on the curling iron. The larger the iron the larger the curl, it’s your preference. The top should be ironed with the larger iron and from an angle to have the lazy dip. When you get to the sides, wrap away from the face. When done, I just simply finger comb the curls and spray with a light hold styling spray.

Taxes

I've been putting it off for a long time but tonight I have to do my taxes. I just been lazy, I hate doing it. I dont know how I got this gig to do both personal taxes and business taxes. After I prepare it I send it to Elaine and she files it for me. Elaine, has been with me since I started my first business. She’s one of few that I am afraid of…LOL. She’s not afraid to let me know when I am not keeping my papers right. I’ve gotten better cuz she gives me the brick when I mess up.

So, after I watch the Hills tonight I am going to flop in the bed and just lay everything out and start getting everything together. This is the best part of being by myself at the hotel it gives me time to think.

I am such a big fan of L’Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray for both myself and for work. The reason I love Elnett for myself because it gives exceptional hold while I work long hours. I love useing it on set because it doesn’t leave the clients hair stiff. And when I need to change the hair style the formula really disappears at the stroke of a brush leaving it soft and satin like…I know I sound like an ad but it’s a great product that I really love, I promise you will to.

F.Y.I.—Some models mentioned that they were not a fan of the smell but I guess I am use to it that it doesn’t bother me.
