I’m very excited about today, two special women are getting married in New Orleans on the same day. How fantastic is that and I get to do both their makeup for their wedding. With my first bride Nancy, she’s been a client for about 15 years. I’ve been in her life longer then her husband. I’ve been getting her glam for all her special occasions in New Orleans. So of course I was going to be her makeup artist for this day. My second bride Brittany has been around for a long time. Since she was 16 I’ve been her makeup artist. I met Brittany when I did her old sisters wedding and then Brittany worked for me at my makeup studio in New Orleans. So both ladies have amazing memories with me. Here are pics from both weddings.
I do makeup very well with champagne, just saying. And all of my loyal clients knows that.
Below I listed the makeup I used on Nancy from Entitled Beauty cosmetics. I Love this woman,,,Nancy!!!
Off to wedding number two, like a celebrity makeup artist that I am. Just like old times in New Orleans.
I’ve done this gorgeous face so many times but today this is my favorite makeup look and bridal makeup look.
So elated about using my new makeup on Brittany before I launched these eyeshadows on Nov 14. It’s from the Social Class collection and this color is called “Broke A$$” so check out Entitled Beauty cosmetics online.
The first dance and I was able to capture this lovely moment and Black & White video.
Now let the dancing begin…only in New Orleans style

I really enjoyed this Sunday afternoon at Whip Salon. My highlight of the day was working with bride Michele Gerard and her sister-in-law Abi Leah. I really like that lately at the salon we have been getting a lot of brides coming in for hair & makeup. I luv weddings, I guess it’s the hopeless romantic in me. Michele was such a cool laid back bride, you would not have thought today was her wedding day.
For Michele I wanted to play up her eyes with lashes because I really wanted it to be all about her eyes with a dewy complexion and nude high glossy lips.
Abi was so cool, she’s from Amsterdam. Our conversation was like two old girlfriends. We covered so many topics in 45mins. I gave her a stronger eye with a soft pink lip.
What a fashionable group of ladies! #justsayin
Here are pics from Michele wedding that she sent over to me. #BEAUTIFUL
Once a month on Wednesdays, Pottery Barn in Danbury Fair Mall will be hosting a premier Bridal Event. Come take a look at new items and speak with a specialist to help create a custom registry on the spot.
Nowadays registries are so much more sophisticated, it’s no longer about signing up for good china. Couples are actually enjoying attending bridal events together to both having input about items for their home. With so many home décor shows on HGTV like Fixer Upper and Flip Or Flop, couples are now making their registry list together.
Pottery Barn’s Store Manager Deidre Jorda at Danbury Fair Mall says “She’s noticed a different with the attendance in who’s doing the registry. It’s no longer the bride and her mom or girlfriend. The guys definitely are more hands on.”
Other vendors that will be in attendance is; William- Sonoma, Sephora, and Max Wine & Spirits. Come out and see high end cookware and kitchen accessories from William-Sonoma, talk with Sephora Senior Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis about bridal makeup for your engagement pictures and of course your wedding day, while sipping on fine wine from Max Wine & Spirits who can help you select what type of wine and cocktails to serve at your wedding.
Make it a summer date night!

As a young girl, we grew up hearing “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.” Well, that something blue will be the new trend in 2016 for brides. Bright, bold cobalt blue will be seen more at weddings in the flowers, bridesmaids’ dresses, the brides’ shoes and even bright bold eye shadows.
At a recent bridal photo shoot I decided to play with NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Giove, a navy blue eye shadow that can be used on the lid for a smokey eye. Remember when wearing a strong eye you should keep the lip color very light so I selected a nude YSL lipstick and a nude Dior lipgloss. Brides your something blue doesn’t have to be hidden anymore, it can now be worn down the aisle.
