Makeup, Food, Drinks And Sports, A Perfect Sunday To Watch The Saints Game

img_4160

Who Dat, Who Dat, Who Dat say Dey Gon Beat Dem Saints?

Today is game day and the New Orleans Saints is playing that’s all I know. I get to spend day 2 with my bride Nancy from yesterday. Nancy and Jim are hosting a Saints Game party at their home. I arrived a few hours earlier to get Nancy glamxurious before her guests arrived. My little sister was my plus 1 for the day. So I was able to spend time with Nancy and my sister while enjoying great food and drinks.

I definitely miss this lifestyle in New Orleans. When I’m back in New Orleans I noticed I’m not as sick. I have my Lupus symptoms but I find them to be mild. But when I’m in Connecticut my body does not allow me to be outdoors for a long period of time. My body shuts down real fast and I spend a lot of my days indoors, it’s very lonely. So I’m taking advantage of the beautiful weather, the socializing and all the great food and drinks. I’m going to pay for it when I get back but you know what its’ so worth it. I will be at home having my Lupus Flare, looking at pics and thinking about the great time I had.

You know this girl have to have her champagne

Nancy, Star and myself are wearing Entitled Beauty cosmetics, it’s a luxurious mineral makeup line that’s sold only online. I will leave the colors everyone is wearing below.

2 Weddings In New Orleans On A Beautiful Saturday

img_4152

I’m very excited about today, two special women are getting married in New Orleans on the same day. How fantastic is that and I get to do both their makeup for their wedding. With my first bride Nancy, she’s been a client for about 15 years. I’ve been in her life longer then her husband. I’ve been getting her glam for all her special occasions in New Orleans. So of course I was going to be her makeup artist for this day. My second bride Brittany has been around for a long time. Since she was 16 I’ve been her makeup artist. I met Brittany when I did her old sisters wedding and then Brittany worked for me at my makeup studio in New Orleans. So both ladies have amazing memories with me. Here are pics from both weddings.

I do makeup very well with champagne, just saying. And all of my loyal clients knows that.

Below I listed the makeup I used on Nancy from Entitled Beauty cosmetics. I Love this woman,,,Nancy!!!

I’ve done this gorgeous face so many times but today this is my favorite makeup look and bridal makeup look.

So elated about using my new makeup on Brittany before I launched these eyeshadows on Nov 14. It’s from the Social Class collection and this color is called “Broke A$$” so check out Entitled Beauty cosmetics online.

The first dance and I was able to capture this lovely moment and Black & White video.

Connecticut Makeup Artist Share Wedding Day Pics In A New York Castle

Friday I spent my day just hanging out you know in a castle, cuz that’s how I roll. Despite the horrible rain storm I had a grand time once inside the Whitby Castle with my New York bride Kimberly and her friends. Kimberley was such a trooper she handled the rain storm like a pro, she was so relaxed and chilled the entire day.

For her makeup look she originally requested something very very natural, she’s a no makeup kinda of lady. But on her wedding day she was ok with me bumping it up just a little and for her second dress change I gave her a red lip with body makeup and highlighting and contouring. She received so many compliments on her makeup that she felt good about letting me take her out of her comfort zone for her dress change. While I was doing her makeup Kimberly shared with me that I was the makeup artist for her neighbors wedding in New York as well. I knew that Kimberly found me through my New York client Nancy but I didn’t know she was a past bride neighbor, what a small world.

When A Bride From Trinidad Get ReMarry In Connecticut

Today’s wedding vow renewal in Litchfield, Connecticut was one that I was so elated about. My bride is a beautiful model from Trinidad and her husband is a firefighter/DJ. The wedding took place at their beautiful home outdoor surrounded by all of their family & friends from the Caribbean.

When Annya sent me the pics of her dress I knew exactly the makeup look I wanted to do on her in the ladies. So I brought so much makeup with me just so I could have everything at my disposable.

I chose to do all of the makeup outdoor because I wanted that natural light. Since Annya was going to be outside 99.9 % of the day I needed that light because this is how everyone will see her. I didn’t want that heavy face that looked only good in pics. I wanted it to be stunning yet effortless.

If you wanted to find all of the girls of course they were hanging with the beautiful bride.

The food was DELICIOUS…4 of these Shandy Carib lager beer had me feeling really good.

The family, only person missing is 4 month old baby London

Annya Best Friend for life… Yendi Phillipps is a Jamaican TV Host, model and beauty queen who the winner of the Miss Jamaica World 2007 beauty pageant, as well as the Miss Jamaica Universe 2010 pageant.

What a beauty…still can’t believe she had a baby 4 months ago.

Brides How Will You Hide Your Tattoo On Your Wedding Day

The day has come, one of the most important days in a bride’s life, is her WEDDING DAY. A topic that will come up throughout the planning by many is TATTOO’S, should it or should it not be covered? Many brides fight with this challenge if they are inked up and or if their wedding party is. Tattoo’s showing at a traditional wedding are sometimes not too popular amongst parents and their friends. With destination weddings and more eclectic weddings, tattoos in the wedding party are a creative way for the bride & groom express themselves.

On your wedding day if it’s a must to cover up your creative personality then here are a few options that have been popular choices amongst brides and their makeup artist.

My personal feeling as a makeup artist that has covered many tattoos’ on brides and their bridesmaids is to let your ink show. I think if you have tattoo’s and you and/or your fiance want your wedding to be about you, then I feel that it’s ok to let them show. Everyone that will attend your wedding has already seen your tattoos and they love you for you. So if they accepted it when they first met you, I feel they will not want to see you hide a part of you. Just know when thinking about getting your first tattoo that somewhere down the line you may be asked to be in a wedding or that you will be a bride one day. So, love your ink and enjoy your day inked up or not.
