Tonight I will be the ladies special guest on The Happy Hour Show on New Vil La Radio at 7pm. I will be talking about my 20 plus years working in the entertainment & beauty industry as a makeup artist. I’m sure they will ask me about my health (lupus, lyme, ra) challenges, being a wife and mother and how I manage to do it all making it look easy. If they did their homework they will bring up me being the Beauty Editor for Caribbean Posh magazine and Beauty Writer for my column Beauty Happy Hour for Hearst CT News Blog. I hope you can turn in tonight at 7pm by clicking here.
The day is here, I’m heading to New York to speak at a sales meeting with beauty industry people on Olay Eyes skincare products. Remember when I shared with you how a company out of London had reached out to me about attending a beauty focus group & dinner. After chatting with me through Skype they decided that my experience and knowledge of beauty, that I would be perfect to come in to teach them on skincare.
I enjoyed speaking to my industry peers on something we are all passionate about. It’s such a great honor being acknowledge as a Beauty Expert. For them to appreciate my style of teaching and to respect that I have been in the industry for 20 plus years was a nice feeling. Still luv how when I entered the room the ladies all screamed, lol like I was a celebrity. It was cute.
I spoke about skincare in general, the different skincare brands & items and the benefits of each item. I gave them tips & tricks that I like to use when working with skincare. Then the last topic was the 2 Olay Eyes items they wanted me to speak on were;
Headed to MUD, Make Up Designory School in Manhattan to speak to the students who will be graduating from the school. These are the up in coming industry makeup artists who’s work you will see gracing the covers of magazine, ad campaigns, music videos, etc. I’m just honored to have been invited to speak to the class. What I did for these students today, I could do everyday at this school because I love the beauty industry. Plus, I luv to help makeup artists who want to learn.
