When you have an early morning call time in New York for 6am and your coming from Connecticut it means your getting up at 4am. Then if your client is the beautiful Maite Perroni, you have to go in looking fabulous with hair and makeup. What I love about working with this amazing woman is her energy and she loves for her glam squad to look just as good as she does. By 4:30am my hair is slaying and my face is beat. Now off to New York City I go to glam up my girl.
I got to Maite hotel at 5:45am, it’s so quiet so you know what I did, I had a photo shoot in the hotel. So let the photo shoot start because I only have 15 mins so I had to strike a pose.
It was so good to see my girl Maite. I feel like we are in the beginning stage of a friendship.

I always enjoy talking with her as well as getting her makeup ready for her events. Upon entering her hotel room, Maite gave me a long hug. I couldn’t wait to catch up with her to see what all new things she’s working on that she has not shared with her loyal fans. Then I was able to share with her all the new things I’m working on including me launching Entitled Beauty Cosmetics back in November. I knew she was going to love it because she loves makeup just as much as I do. And she’s a business woman so she would understand all my ideas and what I’m trying to do with the brand. As we were talking we both realized that we are flirting with spending time in Los Angeles around the same time.
So why was I in New York doing Maite’s makeup? As many of you know that she’s one of the spokespersons for Proactiv. And Proactiv was having a big event called Proactiv Journey for Back To School. Proactiv along with the fabulous team from Lippie Taylor agency put on a great event for kids returning to school. They set them up for success by providing them with a starter backpack of school supplies ranging from; pencil pouches, 12-pack of pencils, a pack of note cards, highlighters, binders, packs of paper, folders, and so much more. The best items that was added to the backpacks were the Proactiv Limited Edition Gift Bundle that included the 3-piece system featuring Adapalene, their most advanced system to date; Deep Cleansing Face Wash, Daily Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30, and Adapalene Gel 0.1%
So now the kids can treat their skin to retinoid, without a prescription. The great thing about the 3 piece system is that it includes moisture and sun protection, from what I hear it’s highly recommended with the use of retinoids.
It was an elaborate event that catered to all ages from kids, teens and adults. At the candy station is were you could find me when I wasn’t touching up Maite’s makeup.

I wasn’t gifted with the brush kit but I did receive the 3-piece system and I am so honored for it. Being a celebrity makeup artist living with lupus, I’m always worried about my skin and how it looks. I wear a full face of makeup everyday because I hate the texture of my skin. I have oily skin with large pores and moles on my face. So, I can’t wait to see if my skin texture change in 3 months. Adult acne is a thing and I see so many of my clients suffering with it more then when they were a teenager. Proactiv is not just for teens, us adults we need some Proactiv love also.

As you know it’s #lupusawarenessmonth and I live with this horrible disease, Lupus. It’s Back, BEAUTYCON Festival in New York! When you put over 30K+ beauty lovers in the Javits Center you get FABULOUS! This 2 day event can be overwhelming but it feel so good. The energy is great, makeup, fashion and pictures being taken every second. Finally a spot for individuals who luv beauty can all just be themselves and not worry about being judged. Beautycon bring together the hottest brands from hair, makeup and skincare along with the most popular Beauty & Lifestyle Influencers who actually strut around with bodyguards and screaming fans. You never know what individual that is attending can be the next break out star next year cause everyone is a COVERGIRL!

Covergirl cosmetics brought me back as a Makeup Artist to share tips and beauty tricks to the consumers that was attending. And Studio B Entertainment did an amazing job with the the setup and production of the set. This year my partner and crime, Johnny joined the team and guess what Covergirl has a new slogan. It’s no longer Easy Breezy, its now #IAMWHATMAKEUP
Day 2-Sunday
My favorite day! The energy was the best ever and the music was bumpin thanks to DJ MAAD. Did I tell you my other partner in crime Ilse was also working, she was at Rimmel. If you didn’t get a chance to attend Beautycon start saving for next year because it’s so worth it to attend if you love anything BEAUTY.
To celebrate our success we had to get fancy real quick at Grand Central before boarding our trains back to Connecticut. We toasted to Ruffino Prosecco in a cup of ice.
We’re so elated to share with you Entitled Beauty cosmetics glam day at the 2018 Home & Leisure Show at Danbury Fair Mall in Danbury, CT. We were placed right at the entrance of Starbucks. So we got to introduced Entitled Beauty to a lot of new Entitled Beauty Babes.
Johnny and myself helped our EB Babes find the correct lipsticks, lip glosses and highlighters that would match their skin tones. Of course we sold out once again in Jaco, our bold liquid lipstick and ran low on our Spotlight Highlighter in Resting Bitch Face.
We had a great turn out of supporters from friends stopping by even if it was just for 2 mins. We also had some lookers, that was a given we knew that was going to happen, lol. Thanks everyone for showing us love and wanting to see Entitled Beauty do well.
This weekend Entitled Beauty cosmetics, an indie mineral makeup line based out of Connecticut will be a vendor at the 2018 Home & Leisure Show at Danbury Fair Mall in Fairfield County. The Home & Leisure Show is the state’s largest, oldest and most respected Home Show. Entitled Beauty will be doing live demonstrations all weekend long with their products. Co Founder and Celebrity Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis will be there to offer exciting new trends, tips and tricks while Co Founder Johnny Luoma will help you find the perfect spring lipsticks, lip glosses and highlighters.
