It’s that time of year again where I start putting my body through boot camp. I’m always looking for the right supplements that would agree with my body and all the meds that I take. I know some of you are saying just eat correctly and I wouldn’t have this problem. But that would be to easy. So on my mission for dietary supplement I found HUM, founded by Walter Faulstroh & Christopher Colerigde.
HUM’s is a line that stands behind helping you with your challenge of beauty and lifestyle concerns. Out of all their supplements, I selected Skinny Bird, a vegan capsule to reduce stress, boost metabolism, and control blood sugar. The capsules combines four targeted solutions for successful weight loss; caralluma fimbriata to help curb appetite, 5-HTP to reduce stress eating, green tea extract to boost metabolism, and chromium to help control blood sugar. Just take 1 vegan capsule up to 3 times ideally 30 minutes before eating and to help you from overeating.
Since I didn’t get any better on Monday I had to go see my doctor to see what’s going on. Having a weak immune system my body picks up anything and everything. A simple cold for an average person can go away after a few days of cold medicine and rest. For me it turns into a respiratory infection, acute bronchitis and acute sinus.
Back home in bed resting organizing my new list of medications on my phone so I’ll remember to take them at the right time. Can I just vent in say I’m so tired of taking meds. I know I need them if I want to continue to work doing what I love but some days I just hate it.
After a fun filled day of shooting outside at Yale University yesterday, today I’m home in bed all day with a flare up. The weather in Hartford, CT was not as sunny as it was at home so on our way back I had a coughing episode. I was praying that it wouldn’t happen plus it didn’t help that my inhaler was empty. When my body has a flare up like this all I want is hot tea, no food no snacks. With a lot of my meds my body does ok with just tea in my system. So I’ll remain wrapped up under my electric blanket until tomorrow.
I’m to tired & in pain to type…See You Bye & Luv You Mean It!
Today’s photo shoot was fun because the weather in Connecticut is actually pretty nice. The sun is out and we did the shoot outside at Yale University. My client Laura is from Ridgefield, CT she’s a shoe designer. Her new collection is inspired by women from Europe & the South so I like calling her collection EuroBelle. We plan to shoot all of the new shoes plus one picture of Laura that she could use for her press kit, website, and all her social media pages,
I was honored to have been invited to attend the launch party for Trilogy Natural Skincare line based out of New Zealand’s. The party was held in a nice loft in Chelsea, NY. I’ve never heard of this skincare line before attending so I was elated to check out the products.Trilogy is a certified natural skincare company founded by Catherine Groot and Sarah Gibbs in 2002. Trilogy prides itself on creating simple and unique blends of the purest oils and botanical extracts. It’s sold at nationwide Whole Foods stores.
I luv skin care products especially high performance natural products. Being that I have lupus I have to be careful with what I put on my skin. I learned something new like, rosehip is a plant that is used in many items like tea, food, drinks, and even wine. It’s high in vitamin C and the extracts also helps to reduce arthritis pain. So I look forward to lathering my skin all in it every day to help bring relief to my swollen joints.

I got to go home with a few goodies from Trilogy that I’m going to use in my makeup kit:
Being a makeup artist the last thing that I would want to happen is for my hard work of artistry melt off my clients face. One of my favorite items I must have in my makeup kit is Caudalie Beauty Elixir. It’s part toner, part serum of essentials oils and plant active ingredients.
I luv to prep my clients face by spraying the Beauty Elixir mist. This step will give my client an instant burst of radiance. It will help to smooth the skin, tighten the pores and set the makeup when done.
During the summer this item will definitely hydrate the face and the aroma of the citrus, rose water, rosemary, peppermint, and balm mint will help to rejuvenate you. Treat your clients or yourself to this luxurious item. I promise you don’t want to leave home without it.
Makeup Tip: Before I use my makeup brushes I like to spray the Beauty Elixor on them. Why not treat your brushes!
This year for Easter my daughter requested that instead of the doing the traditional Easter dinner she was craving seafood mostly crawfish. She was missing home since she never ask for anything I decided to grant her wish by ordering 20lbs of crawfish from my favorite place, Louisiana Crawfish Company. Lord knows I’m not supposing to be eating a lot of heavy season food but I must admit I was craving crawfish as well. If I was back home I would be eating crawfish everyday especially during crawfish season…Laissez Bon Temps Roulez
Today at Sephora I was booked with clients back to back with appointments. My client Julie had one request, that was to just make her look amazing! Being a great canvas Julie made my work very is to do. After chatting with Julie and finding out what her challenge was currently with makeup I found out that contouring and highlighting was hard for her to do. So I made contouring & highlighting the main focus. Before I started doing Julie makeup I prepped her face so she would have a flawless makeup look. Continue reading to see what makeup I used on Julie and how she looked when done.
