This Is What A Lupus Person Look Like On A Bad Day

When a person with lupus say to you “I’m Fine” we are lying to you. No, we are not liars but we are having a bad flare up, and or/maybe heading to the hospital in not trying to worry you. I had 4 horrible days of flare up’s. I was given a steroid shot to help alleviate some of the joint pains. Because in 2 days I have to teach a makeup class so I have to get it together enough  to get through both days. Once I get in drag (hair& makeup) I can get away with it. I know how to turn on to new people who don’t know anything about me that they won’t notice. The most they will think is that I’m congested. Usually somebody else is dealing with allergy or sinuses so I don’t come across ill.

Warning, this is not a pretty picture, this is what happens to me when I’m having a flare up. My body is kicking my ass, I’m not winning at the moment. Everything that can go wrong with my body is happening, triggering all of my Lyme & RA symptoms to act an ass as well. Guess what, I win at the end cuz I made it to another day.

Bridal Event At Pottery Barn Danbury Fair Was A Fun Evening

Yesterday bridal event at Pottery Barn at Danbury Fair Mall was a success. Brides arrived alone, with mom’s and their fiances. Brides were able to speak with Pottery Barn specialists about their registries, plan a menu with Celebrity Chef Silvia, discuss wine selections with Robin and talk makeup with Brandy. Chef Silvia from William Sonoma, Robin from Max Wine & Spirits, and Brandy Gomez-Duplessis from Sephora were the invited vendors. Chef Silvia featured healthy shish kebab, Robin showcased 5 wines that was selected by owner Rick E. and Sephora Senior Artist Brandy shared with brides how to use the virtual artist app where they can try on makeup looks. Deirde Jorda, Pottery Barn Store Manager, made for a perfect host. Have You Tried The Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

During the summer every girl wants a cellulite free, tight body as they head out to the beach. I received a sample size of Sol de Janiero Brazilian Bum Bum Cream in my gratis from Sephora. So after hearing all the fuss about it from the Sephora cast I couldn’t wait to try it out. Boy, were they right!! This might be the most moisturizing cream I have every felt that absorb really fast on the skin. The glow that you see is from the mica follow by the conditioning coconut oil leaving the skin extremely soft like a baby skin. On my boogie down brown skin, it had my skin looking very glistening. On a tan body it will make you look so irresistible. The only disappoint thing for me is that at the present time I cannot smell, nada. So I had to rely on my husband to tell me how the cream smell. I asked him what adjective would I use, he said AMAZING! The scent is a pistachio caramel that last all day. A great decadent summer scent and a cream that will leave your body bringing all the boys to the beach.

Some Comfort Food From Hoodoo BBQ

After a rough week of watching the news over useless killings I needed some comfort food to make me feel better. Still not knowing where to go in Connecticut for my New Orleans style food I asked around and Hoodoo Brown BBQ in Ridgefield came up a few times so off I went. The ambiance was very casual, the staff was friendly, the prices was good and the portions was plentiful. Of course I didn’t forget about the taste. Everything came out warm I wish the temperature was hotter with a little more seasoning. Overall I would definitely go back with both family & friends. This could be a regular stop for me and next time I’ll check out the bar.
