Bloggers have you ever been unmotivated to write? Sure you have, so what motivate you to start up again? For me, being on a list of 15 Awesome People To Follow During The Golden Globe Awards keeps me going every time I start procrastinating. To me, it’s such a major opportunity to be placed on this list so I can’t let the people down who voted me a spot on here.
Gotta go, I’m going to get my set up together for tonight Golden Globes so I’ll have some great pics during the show to talk about.
If I had to pick one beauty product to have in my makeup kit today for the Golden Globes Awards it would have to be L’OREAL Paris Infallible Pro Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray. After giving my client a glamxurious makeup look I would want her makeup to stay fresh for hours while on the red carpet and during the award show. The setting spray will keep the makeup from smudging and settling into fine lines. With all those paparazzi around who need that nightmare of bad makeup.
What’s your must have makeup item if you were attending the Golden Globes?
I always get asked when I’m at Sephora from boggie down brown skin clients what do I use to achieve a flawless makeup look. Color correcting is a big thing for me when I’m applying makeup on clients and on myself. On deeper skin women I do a lot of color correcting under the eyes and around the lips. It’s ok to use two shades of foundation especially around the hairline or a medium foundation and a darker powder.
Finally makeup brands are hearing brown skin women cry who needs a little color correcting and or contouring kit. At the moment my favorite four items I use daily to achieve an even skin are listed below.
It’s always an honor when someone features you in a magazine or on their blog. Being recognized for your talent is always delightful. In the beauty industry where there is so many amazing and talented artists, to be highlighted by a brand means a lot. I met Dana Hill the Founder & CEO of Cocotique while doing makeup at the IBS Show for Absolute NY, a makeup brand who’s makeup I luv using. While at the show Dana and I hit it off right away like two girlfriends. So when Kim Jackson, the Director of Cocotique reached out to me about doing an interview, I was honored. If your a beauty junkie like myself, you must get a subscription of Cocotique monthly beauty box. The ladies always select the best items for you to enjoy. Here’s the article for you to read about me being a COCOBelle!
I don’t know about you but when I’m doing my makeup I am either motivated by something and/ or a new makeup item. Today I refell in love with an oldie but goodie…my yummy pink hydro lipstick from Nicka K New York. I luv the way this shade of pink look on brown skin, a perfect match.
I’m feeling so girlie, I know it’s just a lipstick but I like it a lot!!!
When I look at Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi Glass collection ad campaign it validates why I fell in love with makeup artistry. To me their campaign reminds me of a modern version of pop art makeup from the art movement in the late 1950’s when fine art and popular culture emerged. Dany Sanz of Makeup Up For Ever actual inspiration was from her favorite object, a piexl glass makeup case. She developed a new technology of pigments that is amplified with a high vinyl finish that mimics the case’s unique look and feel.
I was elated when Natasha from Make Up For Ever graced me with one of the Artist Palette Volume 2 and the Artist Plexi Gloss in Fuchsia. It’s always nice when a makeup brand give an artists a treat from their makeup collection.
