Cool Makeup For RedHeads

When I think of a redhead, the first sultry vixen that comes to mind is the glamorous GINGER GRANT from the popular ’60s TV series, “Gilligan’s Island”, a sexy fair porcelain skin woman with flawless healthy skin and a beauty mark.

My sirens always ask, what are the best colors for their complexion? I like using L’OREAL True Match Foundation Porcelain W2 with SPF 17. With a foundation brush I prefer to dab the foundation on the key areas and blend from inside out.
On the eyes, the safe color to use on a redhead is taupe, but if you want a little pop I suggest russet, terra cotta, gold’s and my favorite emerald greens. Pop beauty has a great palette called “LID BRONZER” that has safe colors for redheads. On the brow bone always select colors like camel and beige to open the eyes. I like using dark brown eye shadows as an eye liner to give definition to the eyes. To make sure you’re not giving the eyes a harsh look opt for Bare Naturale Mascara in “Black Brown”. I find black mascara is just way too heavy on pale skin.
Lipstick and blush color palettes are more on the neutral side. Choose colors like apricots, peach, and corals. Very lightly I apply a coral bronzer color by the Balm in “HOT MAMA” in the T-zones to give the skin a little color. You want to keep both features natural and top off the lips with a little gloss my favorite NARS LIP GLOSS in Orgasm. The last step to completing a face is filling in the brows with a brow filler shadow, try LORAC Take A Brow “Auburn”. This is where I don’t mind darkening to help frame the face.

Cherry Bomb Makeup for A Rocker Bride

words by Connecticut / New York Celebrity Bridal Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis

Hello Daddy Hello Mom
I’m your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb
Hello world I’m your wild girl
I’m your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb

Now if you are a daring bride, a sultry bride, a rocker bride or even an anti-bride then you know that red lipstick is a glamxurious trend that seems to never go out of style. Anti-Brides have always been inspired by their favorite Hollywood and Rock and Roll vixens and they always step outside of the traditional pinks, peach or nude lipstick colors on their wedding day.

So many times makeup artists in beauty editors has preached to women to keep their eyes in cheeks to a minimal if your’re going to wear a bold lip color. But if the rest of your makeup is applied correctly, you can sashay down the aisle wearing a smoky eye, faux lashes and a cherry bomb red lipstick. Just be sure to find the correct shade of a red lip color for your skin tone. Below I created a cheat sheet to help you with your selection. On my model above I used Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Satin Lip Lacquer in #75 Dragon. A creamy texture rich color and shine that will last for hours.

Fair skin tones can wear blue-based red lipsticks. This means the color is a true classic red, with no hint of orange or pink.

Medium skin tones have more options. You can wear a true red to pinky-cranberry shade, an orange-red pops against a medium skin tone, especially when worn with bronzer.

Dark skin tones look better wearing a deeper, richer burgundy or warm brick shade. Dark skin tones should also opt for a purple-based red.

BGD Makeup Artistry is Reopening

Girls…I signed a lease to a new storefront
on yesterday morning!!! I am so excited
about it. Now this time around I will only
be doing services by appointment only.
Because I am going to continue to travel
with L'Oreal and other clients I don't want
to get stuck at the store and limit myself.

Now I don't have a set date to open. I
have a lot of booked days that @ don't
have a lot of time to shop like I would
like. I still have to schedule going down
to city hall to get new permits. I have to
schedule lights, phone and etc to be
turned on. I need to order new checks
and all the things it takes to open. Maybe
this way I won't stress out because I
am not given myself a deadline. I am so
at the point in my life that I don't let
all of that simple shit stress me out
anymore. I am just grateful that I am able
to open.

So stay tune to see how things go…this
is so MAJOR!!
