Photo Shoot For Keva J Swimwear during Fashion Week

I started my day first doing makeup at Donna Karan Fall 2012 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week show at Cedar Lake. I knew that today I had to work fast and watch my time because I had to head over to Keva J swimwear look book shoot. Donna Karan show started at 2pm so I was able to leave at 1pm. The photo shoot was schedule at 2pm so I had to move fast.
Keva will be showcasing at Miami Fashion Week in July so she was doing all her marketing materials for that. I was very excited about working with Keva, we met 3 years ago at Miami Fashion Week and I luved her collections. The gorgeous and humble model that Keva selected was India Christin, I later finds out that she is the daughter of rapper Charli Baltimore. And her photographer of choice was the amazing Whalen Bryce.

Malik So Chic Host Hanky Panky for Eye Wear Designer Stevie Boi

Celebrity eye wear designer and stylist Stevie Boi presented his fab eye wear at Hanky Panky NYC during New York Fashion Week at Webster Hall. Stevie Boi couture pieces has been worn by Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Snooki, and many more. His collections are to die for if you like edgy accessories. I must treat myself to a custom piece soon, something glam with a Stevie Boi twist. 

I can count on my fingers when I had a Friday night off so I was elated about being invited by the fabulous Malik So Chic that I dragged my hubby Michael with me to the East Village. I was so mesmerized by Stevie Boi when he hit the stage. I could watch him for hours…when is his reality show coming? What a great time we had enjoyed the avant-garde crowd in the VIP area and the music was rad.

It’s New York Fashion Week, Are You Ready?

It’s that time of year, one of my favorite time in New York. New York Fashion Week…to excited to sleep last night. It’s ok because I have a case of redbull to get me through this fabulous week. Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall 2012 is from February 9th-16th and Maybelline cosmetics is the Official Makeup Sponsor. This is Maybelline sixth year holding the title and every year their ads are delicious.
Thanks to Maybelline New York Global Makeup Artist Charlotte Willer…girlfriend ROCKS!!! Below are some of my favorites. Ava DuVernay Gets Glam At Sundance with L’OREAL Paris

Words can not express how elated I was when I received an email from Tilane Jones, Managing Director of AFFRM and Co-Producer of Middle of Nowhere that Director of Middle Of Nowhere, Ava DuVernay would need my makeup service during Sundance Film Festival. Both Tiffany and I were ecstatic that we would have this talented and amazing woman in our chair inside the Sundance Co-Op Lounge. We had many amazing women stop by but Ava and Emayatzy brought a great energy to the L’OREAL Paris lounge. Ava also made Sundance history by being the first black female to win The Best Director Prize for her movie “Middle Of Nowhere”. Ava invited both Tiffany and I to the movie premier, what a sweet gesture. The movie was ground breaking and brilliantly written a must see when it hits theaters.
On one of visits to the L’OREAL Paris lounge I wanted to give her a fresh not overpowering makeup look with a little glam. So I focused on her lips and kept everything else complimentary to her skin tone.  Below is one of Ava makeup palette while at Sundance Film Festival.

Men’s Grooming: How I Acheive Robert Redford Look Using L’OREAL Paris

This year highlight at Sundance Film Festival 2012 was working with the talented, handsome actor and Founder of Sundance Film Festival,  Robert Redford.  Men are not always consistent about taking care of their skin but Mr. Redford understands how important it is to maintain collagen and elastin in his skin appearance. A few key items that I used on Mr. Redford were from L’OREAL PARIS to achieve his classic look.

Because Redford would be busy speaking at panels and doing interviews, I knew sleep was not happening during the festival so I made sure that I had my L’OREAL Paris Men’s Expert Hydra-Energetic Cold Eye Roller. 

The eye roller has Vitamin C and Caffeine so it gives an instant refreshing look to dark under eyes or puffiness. On his skin I used L’OREAL Paris Men’s Expert Vita Lift SPF 15 Wrinkle & Firming Moisturizer. 

This product contains retinol so it hydrates the skin leaving it glowing and smooth.  Redford has amazing thick hair, so I used L’OREAL Paris Studio Line “Out of Bed Texturizer” on his hair to achieve the effortless messy hair look that Redford likes. 

So guys, step it up, take a little time to pamper yourself and your skin if you want to maintain THAT’S HOT title.

After getting my L’OREAL Paris makeup area set up every morning, I would go upstairs to check my email. Brian Hunt, Head of Creative Development Original Video at Yahoo put together such a fun place to hangout and relax in while at Sundance Film Festival. It was a bright and colorful space for all ages to enjoy to. See for yourself.
