Getting New Sephora Pro Makeup Brushes

I’m always excited about getting new brushes. I received 10 new makeup brushes from Sephora, what a treat! These Sephora brushes are all from the PRO collection, their designed to give great precision and the brush heads are all densely packed with synthetic bristles, perfect for when you want to build coverage and layering. All I can think about now is creating effortless makeup looks at my next photo shoot on Friday for Starbucks.

Everyday Is Like Being On Vacation When You Live In Candlewood Lake In Connecticut

After all my hard work of working in the beauty industry as a makeup artist this is such a blessing to spend my off days home in Connecticut on Candlewood Lake private beach getting my writing done while enjoying just the little things. Once done, I relax by doing some planting and gardening at my home.

Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi Glass Collection

When I look at Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi Glass collection ad campaign it validates why I fell in love with makeup artistry. To me their campaign reminds me of a modern version of pop art makeup from the art movement in the late 1950’s when fine art and popular culture emerged. Dany Sanz of Makeup Up For Ever actual inspiration was from her favorite object, a piexl glass makeup case. She developed a new technology of pigments that is amplified with a high vinyl finish that mimics the case’s unique look and feel.
I was elated when Natasha from Make Up For Ever graced me with one of the Artist Palette Volume 2 and the Artist Plexi Gloss in Fuchsia. It’s always nice when a makeup brand give an artists a treat from their makeup collection.

Skincare: Dr Dennis Gross Peels To Reduce Enlarged Pores & Imperfections

Usually I’m the one to give makeup and skin care tips to my clients. Recently, I was in Ridgefield, Connecticut doing makeup on a private client. I’ve worked with Sara about 6 times and noticed a big improvement to her skin. So I asked her what was her skincare secret. She shared with me that she’s using Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peels. Let me give you a little history about her skin. She has enlarged pores and imperfections. I went from doing a full face of makeup on her to using one drop of Cover FX custom drops mixed with First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Serum.  
Once done I was on a mission to search for these daily alpha beta peels. I located them at Sephora but wasn’t expecting the hefty price point. I ended up getting the 5 treatment original formula pack for $15.00. The other two boxes range from $88.00-$148.00 so I’ll treat myself if I see a difference with my skin. It’s a two step treatment of towelettes that can be used either day or night. I choose to try it out at night just in case I had any reactions. The towelettes is right up my speed because no water, no rinsing is involved. You first apply step 1 to the face and neck area wait about two minutes before applying step 2. I then prepped my skin and neck with Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip oil. 
With Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peels I’m basically looking to minimized my pores, reduce the little signs of aging, brightening and evening out my complexion, So I’ll keep you posted with my process and if I’ll continue using the peels. I pray for flawless skin this summer so I don’t have to always be beat to death.

Makeup: How I Did Makeup On A Modern Day Barbie At Sephora

While at Sephora I had the most gorgeous face walk in and sat in my chair for makeup and I all kept thinking was she’s a real life modern day barbie. Her skin was flawless, her pink hair on fleek and her body look like a model you see on the runway. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on her because she was a perfect canvas. Asking All My Friends To Put On Purple Today For Lupus Awareness

Friday is usually my Flirty Friday day where I tell you to have a sexy day. This morning I am asking all of my FAMILY, FRIENDS, ASSOCIATES & SOCIAL MEDIA friends to put on purple to help bring awareness to this horrible autoimmune disease that I have called LUPUS. Lupus became a household name in the Gomez family when my mom twin sister died from it. This disease has completely changed my life. I fight and struggle everyday to get through the day. I know I don’t look sick from the outside because of all the hair and makeup I wear, lol. But if only you knew how hard it is for me to look that way. I have to take breaks just to get ready in the morning. To go to work in do what I luv is such a hard task. Because I have to continue to work because of daily and medical bills but mostly I have to because I need some type of extra happiness and doing makeup, teaching makeup, making other women happy brings me happiness. Seeing my work on TV, videos and magazines is so different now then when I was really in demand in the beauty industry. 
I never ask anyone for anything and I always say everyone has a story. Well, this is my story…my favor is Can You Wear Purple Today? Then tag me on any of the social media platform that I am on with #WearPurpleForBrandy even though I’m in the group of people that might not see the cure for lupus. I’m fighting because I don’t want my kids, your family and anyone out there to have to deal with the challenge that lupus will bring to your life. Yolanda Foster friends and the world supported her with her Lyme disease social media challenge. I want to see if you will support me just as strong. You can wear purple anywhere; hair, makeup, nails, earrings, ties, t-shirt, sneakers, hat, caps, Be as creative as you want. I know I’m not Kim Kardashian and will break the internet, LOL. A Glam Day In Harlem Doing Makeup On The Producers Of Harlem On My Plate

Before kicking off my day doing makeup on 2 fabulous female producers in New York City I needed my me time. Sitting out back on my deck in Connecticut enjoying my Teavana tea and zen like ambiance of the exotic trees, plants and lake always make me feel like I’m a luxury resort spa. Since mornings is not my favorite time of the day because of my lupus I always need a minute to unwind and loosen up my joints. A little mediation, 10 pills and time with the nature does my body good. Since I didn’t have to be in New York until 3pm I had more than enough time to pamper myself. I’m so excited about tonight event. My clients will be featuring their first featured film, a documentary called “Harlem On My Plate”.
