Priti NYC at BIBI Salon in New York

During Essence Music Festival in July 2010, Maisha Teacher owner of BiBi Salon and I were talking backstage about her salon opening. We discussed all the different products to carry and I shared with her my favorite nail polish company called PRITI NYC. PRITI NYC is an organic non-toxic nail polish line own by Kim D’Amato. PRITI NYC has a sexy following from A-List celebrities to trendy fashionista. Just last week many of the models fingers were painted backstage at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

Priti NYC’s "Blue Eyed Brunette on Boardwalk Empire

Priti NYC’s “Blue Eyed Brunette” to make its TV Debut on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”.
The highly anticipated new HBO series “Boardwalk Empire” premiers on Sunday, and with it will come the debut of the new Priti NYC nail shade, “Blue Eyed Brunette”. Directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Steve Buscemi, “Boardwalk Empire” tells the tale of New Jersey in the 1920’s at the dawn of Prohibition. Blue Eyed Brunette will be used on the show’s female characters to compliment the vibe of 1920’s fashion on the Atlantic City boardwalk.
Priti NYC founder and CEO Kim D’amato collaborated with the show’s makeup team to develop the custom opaque, peachy pink shade. Inspired by and reminiscent of the era, the shade reflects both the buoyant mood of the swinging 1920’s and the subdude mentality of the Great Depression that followed soon afterward. The collaboration with “Boardwalk Empire” is just one of many recent TV projects for Priti NYC.
The brand’s polishes are used on ABC’s “Pretty Little Liars”, SiTV’s “Model Latina”, and most recently, Showtime’s “The Big C”. Inspired by the dark comedy’s plot revolving around a woman battling cancer, the collaboration with “The Big C” came from the show’s makeup team, who wanted to use only non-toxic products on set. HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” premiers on Sunday, September 19th at 9 pm. “The Big C” appears on Showtime every Tuesday at 10:30 pm EST.

Stephanie Jordan commercial

New Orleans Jazz Singer Stephanie Jordan shot her Chip Forstall commercial today at Generations Hall. The commercial was directed by Michael Campbell.

Stephanie wanted a nail color for her nails that would look great on tv. Out of my makeup kit I gave her Priti NYC one of my favorite nail polish color called “hard water lily”, a shimmering champagne color that looks great on all skin tones.
