DUO MODERN Lifestyle Store Launch Today!

Today is the Official Launch Day for DUO MODERN, our curated lifestyle online store! It’s October, but it feels like Christmas morning! Michael and I are beyond excited to announce the launch of DUO MODERN. We did hit a few bumps in the road—our payment system was stuck in “Test Mode” for six hours, which meant that 31 eager customers couldn’t place their orders. But I trust that everything happens for a reason, and those amazing supporters will be back later today. I know God has us covered.

Launching this store has been a dream of ours for so long, but the timing was never quite right—until now. Just last month, my 5-year position was dissolved, and suddenly, I have the time to fully focus on running the store and creating new designs. Of course, I’m still working with my wonderful Reiki clients, too.

We hope you love all the trendy and fun designs we’ve worked so hard on. And this is just the beginning—there’s so much more to come! We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has stopped by DUO MODERN and shown us love and support. It means the world to us. Namaste 🙏🏾📿🙌🏾🫶🏾🤎

I Date Myself, Do You?!

Today is for me, it’s one of my date days. I said, I DO to my husband, I said, I DO to my kids, and I say, I DO to ME!

I choose ME! I choose me every time. In order for me to be at PEACE and HAPPY, I have to have ME TIME! It can be a simple day or a luxe day. It consists of me doing things that makes me happy and smile. I’m not on a schedule, it’s just on my time what I want to do. I can be selfish, I don’t have to wait on anyone, I can eat whatever I want, and my favorite I laugh at myself. It’s fantastic!

We Had A Time Last Night

We had a time last night. Living in Hawaii and by the beach it’s always a party down there for any holiday. I enjoy being barefoot grounding in the sand instead of in fabulous painful 3 inch heels. What made this evening so much fun was that nothing was planned. Hubby and I was just excited about the evening and bringing in the new year together. Hubby got home around 6pm and I got off at 9pm. We managed to make it down to the beach around 10:30pm.

Have You Ever Taken A Eucalyptus Shower

My Self Care Eucalyptus bundle arrived to Hawaii so I can now enjoy my Eucalyptus Shower from Self Care Shower.

Hunty!!!! Let me tell you about this Eucalyptus Shower. It’s the best self care thing you can do during the pandemic. It will take you to a place of peace and relaxtion. The best way to treat yourself after a long drama day at work especially if you have to deal with these non mask wearing people. Come home pour yourself a nice glass of wine turn on your shower to a temperature of hot and midly warm and just stay in that shower until the water go cold. Another thing you can do with your eucalyptus bundle is put them around the house in a vase. For me, it helps to promote relaxation and because it make for a stunning plant when bundle together. Who need an air puifier when you use the eucalyptus as a plant. In the fragrant is divine, it’s also great for congestions and colds. So a win win indoor plant.

How To Take A Eucalyptus Shower

  • Gather the branches with the cut ends down.
  • Clear the stems. Remove leaves from the bottom of each branch so that you have room to tie them together.
  • Cut string or twine so that it’s approximately 24 inches long. Longer is better; too short and it’ll be difficult to tie and hang on your showerhead.
  • Wrap the string tightly around the stems. Tie the branches together, right under the leafy part, so that the bare stems are below the twine. You may want to wrap a rubber band around the stems to temporarily hold them together while you secure the string around them.
  • Use the ends of the string to attach your eucalyptus bouquet to the showerhead or another part of your shower. Make sure to tie it securely.
  • Position the bouquet so that it is not directly under the water stream.
  • Replace the bouquet every 3 weeks or until you no longer smell eucalyptus

Because, I have a second X-Large bundle arriving from Self Care Shower I wanted to see where I was going to place it and I decided that it will look great and my lounge room. It’s next to the living room and by the kitchen so the aroma could be smelled if I was in either of the rooms. Little things like this is what makes me happy. I surround myself around things that brings me happiness especially now that I’m home every day. I work from home, I don’t leave the house unless I’m going to a doctor’s appointment or I’m sitting outside on the beach. In lately that’s been rare.

If you’re looking for something that will bring happiness to a love one, definitely look at Self Care Shower. I have gifted my female loved ones with it and my husband who is into self care and working out loves it. After a good workout, coming home to a eucalyptus shower has been very rewarding.

Let’s All Get Lit Because It’s Mardi Gras In New Orleans

I was the Queen of Red Bull

Damn I miss that GIRL!!!! Right about now I would be LIT as the young kids say. My health was good, NO LUPUS, LYME, RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS, ENLARGED HEART, and ASTHMA. Today it’s Mardi Gras in New Orleans and I would be jumping on  the barricades screaming for beads & coconuts. Drinking daiquiri’s and vodka straight out the bottle. See, ya didn’t know that side of Brandy. If you think I hustle hard now, baby my hustle game was on 100 before my health issues. Mardi Gras was my favorite holiday because I’m always straight business all year long. But on Mardi Gras Day, it was that one day I could just let loose with my family and friends on Fat Tuesday. So New Orleans, Happy Mardi Gras and Turn Up for me!  We should all start drinking now, don’t wait for Happy Hour.

Today’s Dr Appointments Wasn’t A Glam One

It’s been a day and I’m so glad it’s over my body need a break. I started first by going to do a CT Scan, then off to do the allergy test on my arms and forearms, then over to the CT Sinus Center, ending my appointment doing a Intravenous (IV) infusion therapy. Unfortunately, I have to do a lot of this often, in 10 days I’ll be repeating everything except the allergy test. At least I didn’t have to give blood this week. A lot of driving around today, I’m just glad to be home. How is your Monday going?

Sunday Is My Day Of Being Fabulous

img_2245Today I’m not doing anything, I’m going to flaunt around the house like I do and just enjoying myself. Since I have no plans on leaving the house I’m going to just relax, snack, drink wine and nap. I have a busy week ahead starting with 3 appointments early tomorrow morning. And one more appointment on Tuesday but that one is going to be easy breeze. I haven’t been having any heart problems and it’s not time to do another EKG so I’ll be out in 10 mins. But as soon as I walk out of tomorrow appointment I cannot wait to take my meds for all these body pains. I was told that I couldn’t take anything for 3 days prior to my Monday appointments so I’m feeling everything so wine is definitely needed until then. How did you spend your Sunday?
