Makeup, Food, Drinks And Sports, A Perfect Sunday To Watch The Saints Game

img_4160

Who Dat, Who Dat, Who Dat say Dey Gon Beat Dem Saints?

Today is game day and the New Orleans Saints is playing that’s all I know. I get to spend day 2 with my bride Nancy from yesterday. Nancy and Jim are hosting a Saints Game party at their home. I arrived a few hours earlier to get Nancy glamxurious before her guests arrived. My little sister was my plus 1 for the day. So I was able to spend time with Nancy and my sister while enjoying great food and drinks.

I definitely miss this lifestyle in New Orleans. When I’m back in New Orleans I noticed I’m not as sick. I have my Lupus symptoms but I find them to be mild. But when I’m in Connecticut my body does not allow me to be outdoors for a long period of time. My body shuts down real fast and I spend a lot of my days indoors, it’s very lonely. So I’m taking advantage of the beautiful weather, the socializing and all the great food and drinks. I’m going to pay for it when I get back but you know what its’ so worth it. I will be at home having my Lupus Flare, looking at pics and thinking about the great time I had.

You know this girl have to have her champagne

Nancy, Star and myself are wearing Entitled Beauty cosmetics, it’s a luxurious mineral makeup line that’s sold only online. I will leave the colors everyone is wearing below.

2 Weddings In New Orleans On A Beautiful Saturday

img_4152

I’m very excited about today, two special women are getting married in New Orleans on the same day. How fantastic is that and I get to do both their makeup for their wedding. With my first bride Nancy, she’s been a client for about 15 years. I’ve been in her life longer then her husband. I’ve been getting her glam for all her special occasions in New Orleans. So of course I was going to be her makeup artist for this day. My second bride Brittany has been around for a long time. Since she was 16 I’ve been her makeup artist. I met Brittany when I did her old sisters wedding and then Brittany worked for me at my makeup studio in New Orleans. So both ladies have amazing memories with me. Here are pics from both weddings.

I do makeup very well with champagne, just saying. And all of my loyal clients knows that.

Below I listed the makeup I used on Nancy from Entitled Beauty cosmetics. I Love this woman,,,Nancy!!!

So elated about using my new makeup on Brittany before I launched these eyeshadows on Nov 14. It’s from the Social Class collection and this color is called “Broke A$$” so check out Entitled Beauty cosmetics online.

Feeling Like A Pink Lady In My Entitled Beauty Makeup

img_2722Hey Girl Hey…Today I’m giving you a Pink Lady vibe with my Entitled Beauty makeup look. Hanging out in the Boogie Down Bronx feeling fly, You Like?

Can you believe that all this fabulousness is mineral makeup. When I finally decided that I was going to do a makeup line, I knew that it had to be a mineral line because of my health issues with Lupus. My autoimmune is so weak that I have to be very careful about the makeup I put on my skin. And I wanted women to wear healthy makeup as well if they are going to be wearing Entitled Beauty Cosmetics. With mineral makeup it’s usually very neutral and boring and since there is nothing boring about me I wanted the makeup to be highly pigmented and long wearing.

So let me tell you what I’m wearing today.

Entitled Beauty Cosmetics:

  • Eyes “Broke A$$” Social Eyeshadow launching Nov 14th online
  • Cheeks “Resting Bitch Face” Spotlight Highlighter

Heading To New Orleans On InterNational Champagne Day

YAASS, It’s about to be on….I made it to New Orleans and I’m about to be LIT! Isn’t that how the kids say it. Beautiful weather, great food, the best champagne…EVER. So, I’m in New Orleans because two of my clients from New Orleans are getting married on the same day so they flew me out to do makeup on their special day.

My flight was very early, 5:30am but it’s ok because Nancy booked me First Class on United Airlines so I was able to enjoy great seating and unlimited mimosas. My Girl Pal, Jamielyn picked me up from the airport and we had reservation at one of the best NOLA restaurants, Brennan’s. Guess what, it’s also International Champagne Day so you know it’s going to be a fancy day.

L’OREAL Paris vs. Hourglass Cosmetics Illuminating Primer Dupe With Celebrity Makeup Artist and Beauty Expert

Primers are used for different things. Can L’OREAL Paris dupe the Hourglass prestige product? Do they do the same thing? I was a L’OREAL Paris Pro Makeup Artist for 9 years and I wore L’OREAL Paris makeup everyday. I was always a fan of drugstore makeup because I know the beauty industry secrets.

So Beauty Expert/Actor Johnny Luoma and I got together to make you a fun video to see which beauty products we like the best. So let’s see which one of the products win, drugstore or prestige. What do you think?

So about my breathing as you know I have Lupus so my lungs were giving me a hard time talking and breathing but I pushed through and completed the video while having a great time doing what I love, talking about makeup.

6 Items Celebrity Makeup Artist And Beauty Influencer Living With Lupus Need To Get Through NYFW

img_1874New York Fashion Week in September is always a big event that I look forward to working doing makeup and attending as media/press writing beauty articles.

Commuting on Metro North Train for 2 hours from Connecticut, going from show to show pulling a 95 lbs makeup kit and standing for many hours it can take a toll on any healthy person. Imagine living with Lupus, it’s a little harder but I have master secrets that keep me able to work without any challenges that my peers and the models doesn’t know I have an auto-immune. So that I can continue to beat a face here are my secret tools to keep me looking fabulous as well as do beautiful artistry.

  1. Biodara Immortal Mist, with aloe and anti-inflammatory ingredients. “It helps soothe and reduce inflammation in my hands — and all over my body. It also makes for a great makeup-setting spray.”

2. I’m also a fan of essential oil blend from Tata Harper Skincare to use on my pulse points. “On days when I’m really pushing myself, I put the treatment in the palm of my hands, rub them together to heat up the oils, and then I take a few deep breaths. It’s wonderful.

Tata Harper Skincare Energy Treatment3. “Because I am on my feet a great deal — like 10 to 15 hours a day — I like to wear comfortable shoes. I enjoy wearing Floafers shoes, “They are so lightweight, supportive, and breathable that it doesn’t feel like I’m on my feet.”

4. Makeup brushes that I enjoy using doing New York Fashion Week are from Royal and Langnickel. Not only do they have quality brushes, their collections of brushes feels good in my hands when I’m creating magic.

5. My major secret has been CBD FX Tincture Hemp Oil. When I take 5-10 drops a day I’m pain free. No body aches and no inflammation, and on a stressful day I’m feeling relaxed backstage while everyone else is running stressed out.

6. Of course my makeup kit is packed with Entitled Beauty cosmetics, a luxurious mineral makeup line that’s owned by myself and my business Johnny Luoma. But I also wear my own collection (All Nighter Lipsticks, Glamxurious Lipgloss, & Spotlight Highlighters) as much as possible so that I don’t have any flare up’s.

Another Lupus Warrior Asha Sharron Loses Her Wings

img_0490-1As I sit in bed today wheezing my ass off I’m sorry to announce that another Lupus Warrior left us on yesterday. Asha Sharron has been in the hospital for 7 months fighting to live. I have always admired her because she was able to document everything about her life of living with Lupus. Asha was definitely my kind of girl because she loved her makeup, hair and fashion like majority of us women. She was just a sweet girl you can tell in her videos. Always funny and spoke positive of what she was going through.  Even though I talk about my journey and share my hospital pics I was still guarded about how much I shared because the feedback I received was to stop if I wanted to keep working in the beauty industry.

13 hours ago everything was looking good for Asha. As you can see she was up dancing. Like many of her fans we thought that this was a sign that she was going home, but God had another plan for her. He wanted her home with him.

Just 5 days ago she was up reading her lovely cards that was sent to her by family, friends and social media friends. Even on this day she struggled with doing her physical therapy session. Her body was so weak and wouldn’t allow her to have much activities without being exhausted. It’s gotten to the point that she couldn’t go to the bathroom on her on own. Her amazing mother and caretaker had to care of her needs in the hospital bed.

On April 4th Asha celebrated her 30th birthday in the hospital. She made the most of her day. This is why I was such a fan of her.

If you would like to know more about this beautiful soul Asha, check out her YouTube page where she documented the good and the bad of living with Lupus. I promise you will be touched by her like I was. I just can’t believe shes gone, she fought so hard and it just saddens me that she couldn’t to stay with us. Please let them find a cure for us because we keep losing our good ones to this horrible disease.

To Asha mom, sisters and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Thank You for being a part of her journey. She was loved and respected by us Lupus Warriors.
