New Orleans Blogger & Influencer Received 3 Top Influencer Badges For 2018

It is award season so when I received my 2018 Edition Year In Review from FOHR agency I was so elated to review how I was doing as an influencer. After reviewing everything I was so impressed img_7646with how beautiful it was put together. As an influencer and blogger this is perfect to receive because it allows you to see how well you are doing within so many categories. Being that I am an Influencer and both Connecticut and New Orleans, it’s nice to see what city I’m doing better in and what I need to work on. The first two-three months of the new year I’ll be in New Orleans so I’ll be able to create more content outdoor because I would not have to deal with the cold and snow in Connecticut.  Being in a smaller market like New Orleans as a Blogger & Influencer I always feel that I have to work harder. As many of you bloggers know sometimes it’s hard to create content everyday so this is definitely motivating. The review is a perfect way to kick off the new year. It’s always nice to hear when you’re a TOP INFLUENCER and to receive 3 badges, not to shabby.

Here is the letter that was sent from James Nord, the Founder of FOHR.

Congratulations! You did it!

Hey Brandy,

Did you wake up this morning with a little pep in your step, feeling like you were doing something right? If you have been searching for a reason for that elevated mood, search no more, because we know what it is: you are a top influencer for Black Up, Yankee Candle, and BOSS for December!

Here is what that means: we track over 350 brands to see which influencers are giving them the most coverage on Instagram. Next, we rank those by the number of impressions (number of followers x number of posts) they dedicate to those brands on over a given month. Lastly, we look at the top influencer across 7 following levels and send them, well, this email.

The Instastory or Instastories attached will show which brand or brands you were a top influencer for. If you’re feeling yourself (or even if you’re not), you should throw it up on your Instastories and tag the brand (and your friends over at Fohr). I’m sure they will want to hear from you.

Keep on slaying and we will keep coming up with ways for you to flex.

Cheers,

James Nord
Founder, Fohr

Makeup, Food, Drinks And Sports, A Perfect Sunday To Watch The Saints Game

img_4160

Who Dat, Who Dat, Who Dat say Dey Gon Beat Dem Saints?

Today is game day and the New Orleans Saints is playing that’s all I know. I get to spend day 2 with my bride Nancy from yesterday. Nancy and Jim are hosting a Saints Game party at their home. I arrived a few hours earlier to get Nancy glamxurious before her guests arrived. My little sister was my plus 1 for the day. So I was able to spend time with Nancy and my sister while enjoying great food and drinks.

I definitely miss this lifestyle in New Orleans. When I’m back in New Orleans I noticed I’m not as sick. I have my Lupus symptoms but I find them to be mild. But when I’m in Connecticut my body does not allow me to be outdoors for a long period of time. My body shuts down real fast and I spend a lot of my days indoors, it’s very lonely. So I’m taking advantage of the beautiful weather, the socializing and all the great food and drinks. I’m going to pay for it when I get back but you know what its’ so worth it. I will be at home having my Lupus Flare, looking at pics and thinking about the great time I had.

You know this girl have to have her champagne

Nancy, Star and myself are wearing Entitled Beauty cosmetics, it’s a luxurious mineral makeup line that’s sold only online. I will leave the colors everyone is wearing below.

2 Weddings In New Orleans On A Beautiful Saturday

img_4152

I’m very excited about today, two special women are getting married in New Orleans on the same day. How fantastic is that and I get to do both their makeup for their wedding. With my first bride Nancy, she’s been a client for about 15 years. I’ve been in her life longer then her husband. I’ve been getting her glam for all her special occasions in New Orleans. So of course I was going to be her makeup artist for this day. My second bride Brittany has been around for a long time. Since she was 16 I’ve been her makeup artist. I met Brittany when I did her old sisters wedding and then Brittany worked for me at my makeup studio in New Orleans. So both ladies have amazing memories with me. Here are pics from both weddings.

I do makeup very well with champagne, just saying. And all of my loyal clients knows that.

Below I listed the makeup I used on Nancy from Entitled Beauty cosmetics. I Love this woman,,,Nancy!!!

YAASS, It’s about to be on….I made it to New Orleans and I’m about to be LIT! Isn’t that how the kids say it. Beautiful weather, great food, the best champagne…EVER. So, I’m in New Orleans because two of my clients from New Orleans are getting married on the same day so they flew me out to do makeup on their special day.

My flight was very early, 5:30am but it’s ok because Nancy booked me First Class on United Airlines so I was able to enjoy great seating and unlimited mimosas. My Girl Pal, Jamielyn picked me up from the airport and we had reservation at one of the best NOLA restaurants, Brennan’s. Guess what, it’s also International Champagne Day so you know it’s going to be a fancy day.

Friday In NYC With My Girlfriend Chef Jamielyn

Thanks Absolute New York for my Lip Mousse in Royals

Ladies, have you ever been so excited about a girls night with a girlfriend that lives in another state? Well, last week that was me. One of my favorite girls, Jamielyn or should I now say Chef Jamielyn & business owner was coming in town (New York) for a photo shoot. She needed new head-shots for her business and she wanted me to do her makeup. I always enjoy doing her makeup she was like my muse back in the day. This is how we actually met about 9 years ago on a crazy set, at a photo shoot in New Orleans. Jamielyn use to be really busy back in New Orleans in the modeling and fashion scene. We luv to talk about fashion, makeup, family, careers, food, and we luv taking pics of our every step. Jamielyn is the girl who doesn’t mind talking selfies. She’s the friend who will take her time to take great pics of you from the right angle. Lord, I know I sound vain but you know what that’s who I am and I don’t apologize for my self-love and I know I’m not for everyone and I’m OK with that. So when I find girlfriends that mirror me, chillld my day is going to be fanciful when we get together with no husband & kids around.

I took the train into the city that afternoon and headed over to SOHO. We stayed at Arlo Hotel SoHo a very modern style hotel with micro rooms but so many different spaces inside the hotel that you will get lost in it almost forgetting that you’re at a hotel. And if you’re a blogger & influencer you will luv this hotel. So many places for great pics and content. I look forward to visiting this hotel again for materials. Once I put my suitcase up we hit up The Good Story, it’s their rooftop bar with an amazing view of the Hudson River. Originally, when we were going to attend the Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Saturday but we could not reschedule the photo-shoot so we attended a Veuve Clicquot party on the rooftop. Jamielyn started right away with Veuve Clicquot new Rose and I needed a frozen margarita because I was a little parched. Then the rest of the evening it was Veuve Clicquot Rose…we luv us some champagne. Weather was perfect, music was on point, drinks flowing and the conversation never stopped.

Next stop, The Dutch Restaurant for dinner also in SoHo. We were catching up so much that we almost missed our reservations but we didn’t. We didn’t get all fancy we went straight from the rooftop bar straight to dinner. The only thing we freshen up was our makeup, of course. Restaurant was busy and every plate I saw as I walked to my table looked delicious. We wanted American food that had that New York feel with a flare of New Orleans. Let me tell you we got just that. We continued the Rose champagne going so Jamielyn goes let’s just do a bottle. I have to return to The Dutch for that New Engand Lobster, it was exquisite!

I’m so glad I rocked my VANS…I wear black almost everyday and if I could make this my signature shoe I would. These slip on’s are so comfortable on my feet and by the end of the day my feet never get swollen when I wear them. We wanted to walk off the drinks so we walked back to the hotel just enjoying our conversation, while stopping to take pics. It was still early so we went to the Arlo Liquor Bar order more champagne, sat in the courtyard and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. By midnight we were ready to head upstairs because the photo-shoot was scheduled for 8am. We both needed to sleep, we may look young but we’re not. Don’t you luv when you get with your girlfriend who you don’t see everyday because you both live in different states and life happens. But when you catch up it just flows.

Second Day In New Orleans For The NBA All Star Weekend

Today was a quiet day not a lot of things to do for the NBA All Star Weekend event. But later in the evening I was only booked to work with one person. After getting my call time and location I head over to the Westin Hotel in New Orleans to meet up with talent Rocsi Diaz for the NBA All Star Weekend Playmakers Dinner. Was the first to arrive shortly followed by her New Orleans hairstylist Dana.

Afterward all I want to do is go get a daiquiri and a few pounds of crawfish. One of my many highlights of being back home in New Orleans.

HIGHLIGHT OF MY EVENING

How Was Your Thanksgiving?

I don’t know about you but this year I wasn’t ready for Thanksgiving. With so much going on plus being busy at work I really could have slept through this holiday. Wednesday night I manage to get up to start playing around with my table. Every holiday I look forward to dressing my table with a different theme. The kids luv that I do this now that the kids are older they help with ideas. I’ve never decorated with a traditional Thanksgiving theme my creative mind just luv having fun with it.

Two things that I didn’t get to do yesterday was stop by Leslie Glover Toran home & turn on the fireplace. After all that cooking I chilled with the family.  Like everyone else we were all to full to do anything else. I managed to get another breathing treatment in while we watched a movie. Working those 13 days straight I didn’t have time to do them so I was definitely overdue. My body started flaring on Monday after I got off.

What about you guys what are some the things you did yesterday with your family?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!

The tradition; mimosa & baked goods

Just like my table I don’t usually cook traditional Thanksgiving dishes. I take my time with my menu to make sure I give each family member a dish that they crave and/or luv.

My plate for the evening, the only thing missing is the sauteed crabs. I ate that after my treatments.

Good Night, I hope your time yesterday with your luv ones was just as peaceful, fun, & relaxing as mine.
