Come Meet Entitled Beauty Cosmetics This Weekend At The 2018 Home & Leisure Show

Founders Of Entitled Beauty Johnny Luoma and Brandy Gomez-DuplessisThis weekend Entitled Beauty cosmetics, an indie mineral makeup line based out of Connecticut will be a vendor at the 2018 Home & Leisure Show at Danbury Fair Mall in Fairfield County. The Home & Leisure Show is the state’s largest, oldest and most respected Home Show. Entitled Beauty will be doing live demonstrations all weekend long with their products. Co Founder and Celebrity Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis will be there to offer exciting new trends, tips and tricks while Co Founder Johnny Luoma will help you find the perfect spring lipsticks, lip glosses and highlighters. Stop by the booth to learn everything you need to know about Entitled Beauty and the products that Gomez-Duplessis and Luoma used during Oscar de la Renta Fashion Show, New York Fashion Week, Harlem Fashion Week and at the NBA All Star Weekend.

Entitled Beauty Cosmetics Will Be At The 2018 Home & Leisure Show

 

img_3794This weekend I’m so elated about being at the Greater Danbury Chamber 2018 Home & Leisure Show with Entitled Beauty at Danbury Fair Mall. Johnny came over to the house and we talked about new products we’re launching and we discussed everything that we would need for our booth. The Home & Leisure Show is a two day event and we will be there retailing our lipsticks, lip glosses and our highlighters. We decided that we would also help consumers apply the products and also share with them how to use the highlighters. We want our booth to be fun so I’m bringing music, my speakers and my lights so selfies and videos can be done at the booth.

It’s looking like they have our booth set up on the first level near Starbucks. So stop by to see us and shop. Here are the dates and time.

Flirty Friday Working NBA All Star Weekend In LA

The first day of NBA All Star Weekend is finally here and I am ready for it. Before I start my day, I’m on my computer checking on my makeup line Entitled Beauty cosmetics. Johnny and I talk business and go over any emails that came through since yesterday. Then I get ready for my first full day.

Today, I get to meet my team for the first time. Looking at their pics on Instagram and talking through emails and texts is not the same. I have them meeting me here at NOMAD Hotel to pick up their credentials and parking pass. Then, we will head over to the Microsoft building to set up to do hair & makeup.

Once everyone picked up their items my assistant/intern Bailey and I was was driven over. So who’s Bailey? Bailey is an aspiring makeup artist from Michigan and she is going to go through my Beauty Blueprint program for 3 days. My goal is to teach her what it’s like to work as a Entertainment Makeup Artist. This field is different from a salon, weddings, department stores, and Instagram makeup artists. This is something a lot of aspiring makeup artists have to learn, the different types of artistry. So, instead of just asking me questions through SKYPE about the business side of makeup, Bailey is  actually getting her hands dirty and learning how much work goes into working on a live TV show. The production life is no joke and as crazy and fast pace it is I live for it. Plus, it’s nothing like seeing your work later on screen.

After getting set up, our first set of talent came to the glam room to get her hair and makeup done. First up was Lauren Braganza, what a sweet young lady who can SANG!!! We also got to meet her mom Patty, what a lovely woman. She definitely get it from her mama.

While Ira & Phoebe worked on Lauren, Jessica, Bailey and myself headed over to the Convention Center to get 2 more ready. Actress Dascha Palonca and Rachel DeMita, a former basketball player, model, Vlogger, sports host and media personality. I’m so excited that I got use my makeup line, Entitled Beauty on these FAB ladies. I used my Bold Liquid Lipsticks, my Glamxurious Lip Glosses, and my Spotlight Highlighters on their eyes and cheeks. I brought enough for all of us to use on the talent and dancers all weekend.

We made it through the first day, Friday’s are always quiet but plentiful. Meeting more team members tomorrow. But tonight Bailey & I is going to a private viewing of Kendrick Lamar concert. Free drinks & food!!!!!!

How To Groom Male Models During Fashion Week

Hey Guys Hey! Makeup And Martinis NYC is back!!! This video was inspired by New York & Harlem Fashion Week. During Fashion Week we don’t only work on female models. A lot of time we have men collections and we have to groom guys for the show. I actually like putting makeup on male models because they have the best face and make for a great canvas to paint.

I always get asked by aspiring makeup artists What Do I Use & How Do I groom guys. Well, male grooming on regular guys is totally different from male models during Fashion Week. What I will do for the male talent at NBA All Star Weekend is totally different from the look I did in the video.

I’m glowing and NO not because I’m pregnant…cuz child the chapter is closed. I’m glowing this morning because we at Entitled Beauty launched our SPOTLIGHT HIGHLIGHTERS this morning!!!!! Once we got our highlighters where we wanted them, a beautiful high shine glow, and finally decided on the fun names for them we are ready to share them with you. We have 6 gorgeous shades that will work on all skin tones. And I can promise you they work on all skin tones. 21 years in the Beauty & Entertainment industry working on a lot of your favorite A-list celebrities, athletes, actors, and music artists I knew what was missing and what I wanted Entitled Beauty cosmetics to do. Many women especially women of color have a challenge finding a signature red lipstick. Being a Entertainment and Beauty Makeup Artist of 21 years, I’ve seen and heard the cries. This is why when my partner Johnny and I created Entitled Beauty we agreed that our products would have colors that would work on EVERYONE.

Yes mam’ this is EXACTLY how I feel everytime I choose to swipe red goodness on my lips. I have no idea why, but my inner Kelis emerges when I have red lipstick on and I feel so empowered. Psycolgoigaclly speaking, red is associated with power and evokes a feeling of leadership with those who either wear or associate themselves with the color.
This January has been one of the most powerful months in my 20 something waking years. I’ve experienced both highs and many lows and it has created a sense of liberation. Because I am deciding to embrace this authoritative stance, I figured it would be fitting to share my three favorite red lippies that put me in boss mode. As a woman of color, it can be pretty frustrating finding the absolute perfect red. Most times reds can have way too much of an orange undertone that leaves our lips a bit cakey and unattractive.

The three red lippies I am sharing have the perfect undertone for my shade and I’m sure they prove to be effective for women who are both lighter and darker than me on the melanin scale.
I get it…not everyone feels the need to wear a red lip, out of fear and ridicule. Trust me, I used to feel the same way about putting a red lipstick on as I thought it was too bold. But BOLD is BEAUTIFUL! If you are ready to boss up and put your big girl pants on as you conquer 2018, then you are ready to venture into the red lip zone!

One of the great aspects of this liquid lipstick is that it’s mineral based. And you all know that I am all about the conscious consumer decision we as women have to make. Makeup matters! And so does the ingredients that go into the products you use, so Entitled Beauty’s heartbreak red lipstick has won my heart entirely. Even the packaging of the product is amazing with their frosted bottle and easy to grip handle.

This liquid red lipstick is extremely long wearing, to the point wear I had to use several makeup wipes to get it off completely. This is both a pro and a con for me. It’s most definitely a pro because if I have an all day event I need to attend I don’t have to worry about my lipstick disappearing. However it only becomes a con because I am super lazy so trying to get this bad boy off my lips takes some time.
