As many of you all know I am on tour right now with L’Oreal cosmetics. I wanted to show you one of my goal’s and that is to work behind the scene of a L’Oreal commerical. This is a great L’Oreal Feria hair video to show you guys what it’s like putting together a 60 seconds commerical. It’s a good look of what Beyonce is like as well when she’s on set.
I gotta check into rehab…cuz baby MAKEUP is my disease!!!
I am doing summer cleaning today since I am home in New Orleans all week. I never got around to unpacking everything from my studio when I closed the doors at the end of Feb of this year. My husband in his BFF moved everything out the studio the day before Easter so basically my studio has been sitting in the family playroom. The kids are not to happy about it cuz they can’t watch movies, play music, get on the internet or play those playstation and wii games. I been flirting with the idea every time I am home to clean in unpack but never have the time. Since this week they will be out of school I know they will want to be in this room for the summer. So, as I clean today I keep finding makeup. Makeup stashed in bags, suitcases, bins, handbags, old makeup cases, victoria secret bag, target bags…seriously no joke. I am looking at almost $15,000 worth of makeup. Not including all my makeup that I retailed. I know I spent about $25,000 on getting that made and packaged. Now mind you, this total is NOT including my two makeup kit, my air brush kit and my duffle bag that I drag around with me everyday. This is just what I found while cleaning. I either forgot that I had it cuz I was hiding it from my husband, myself, or I just didn't have room. What ever excuse I come up with I think I need some help, this is out of control. I can't believe in April I twisted my mouth to say to my husband I need to buy some makeup. One of my favorite makeup lines-NYX was having this crazy sale and I wanted to place an order.
Then makeup companies send me makeup to use on my celebrity clients or they sponsor makeup when I do events. I also have a suitcase full of individual and strip lashes.
When I first fell in love I never felt something so strong. Makeup was my lover and my best friend. All wrapped into one, with a ribbon on it! And I'll never give to myself to another, the way I gave it to you. Don't even recognize the ways you hit me, do you? It's gonna take a miracle to bring me back. And SEPHORA, MAC, L'OREAL, NYX, OCC, BEN NYE, SMASHBOX, MAKEUP FOREVER, your all the one to blame.
I just wanted to thank everyone that came out to the first W. HOTEL VIP SERIES that I helped host with my friends. I also would like to thank the staff at the W. Hotel for selecting me and viewing me as one of New Orleans top VIP people. I didn’t eat before boarding the plane, didn’t eat on the way to the event, and didn’t eat at the event. So, all I had was shots, that Jakki, Lane and the bartender made. I had the special EARTH DAY drink which was really good and something I put together using Grey Goose and pineapple juice and a splash of lemon & lime. It was really refreshing that I think I had one way to many at the end of the night. It was suppose to be done with at 8:30pm but we had so much fun that we left a little after 11pm.
Just know as MISS SASSY said, I had so many moments that I don’t remember half of it. I think I was so happy to have friends there and to have a great time with everyone. It’s usually hard to put groups together but this group nobody was side eyeing anyone, being mean, needing extra attention, and all the typical BS. So, I was relaxed and just had my crew who I love. A few couldn’t make it but we had a FAB time and drinks for everybody. I wish I could post all 200 pics but here are some.
GLAM LIFE OF A CELEBRITY MAKEUP ARTIST…IN NEW ORLEANS NOW DOING MAKEUP IN FLORIDA, DALLAS, LOS ANGELES, and NEW YORK.
I am such a big fan of L’Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray for both myself and for work. The reason I love Elnett for myself because it gives exceptional hold while I work long hours. I love useing it on set because it doesn’t leave the clients hair stiff. And when I need to change the hair style the formula really disappears at the stroke of a brush leaving it soft and satin like…I know I sound like an ad but it’s a great product that I really love, I promise you will to.
F.Y.I.—Some models mentioned that they were not a fan of the smell but I guess I am use to it that it doesn’t bother me. The price is on the wallet and will last you a long time because you really don’t need a lot. The ultra fine mist really holds any up do’s, soft body waves, and any short pixie cuts. This A-List hairspray can only be purchased at Target.

I am sitting at the airport waiting for my flight and I am all out of breathe trying to calm my crazy ass down. I left my cell phone in the car playing around with Star. Ok, this is what happen. I went to pick her up so she could drop me off and then use my car while I am gone. We do this all the time when I have assignments out of town. anyway she was teasing me about being VIP that she went in purchased something for me for my VIP trip. We pull up to US Airways and she presented something to me as I was getting out the car. It was a large beautiful bottle of GUCCI perfume. You all know how I luv scents/perfumes. I luv to smell like I bathed in perfumes. I got so excited that I when I gave my bags to the sky caps I forgot to unplug my cell phone from charger. I get in check my bags go through security and noticed that something weird was going on with me. My phone has not rung not one time. I look in my handbag and could not find my phone. I looked in my carry on bag no phone. I started freaking out. Really freaked out because on this trip I did not bring my computer so I would not have any access to my family my emails or business. by now I am having a panic attack. I am smelling amazing but going into production not looking really VIP right about now. I asked one of the stores if I could use the phone and this lady was so sweet she let me make a phone call and I contacted Michael who told me that Star saw the phone and was on her way back to me. The airport employee allowed me to leave my items with her as I run back to drop off. I only had 15 mins to run back and get to my gate before it took off. God was with me I was able to make it back just in time to sit down and catch my breath. I am now sitting on the plane looking out the wondow as I write this blog. I am so grateful to have common sense people in my life. So when I get back to New Orleans I will take Star out to dinner and drinks. I know she will love that. Well, I gotta go have to turn the phone off.
