Modern Day Greek Goddess Makeup For Donna Karan Market Week

To keep my model makeup flawless I used Shadow Shields to catch any eye shadow I use.
Today’s makeup inspiration comes from my love of the sultry Greek islands. Women are very sexy there and they love their bodies. Donna  Karan’s collection today took me to that place so I created a flawless makeup look that would take you from day to night. It’s all about clean skin, shades of coral, and beach with no one thing being the main focus. To give the ladies a natural bronze as if they were local’s I added Stila one step bronze with the foundation. To keep the blush natural I used L’OREAL Paris Magic Smooth Souffle blush with a beauty blender then touched the cheeks with Milani baked blush.

First Day At Sundance Film Festival Was With Robert Redford

My first day of Sundance Film Festival 2013 kicked off with working with the king of Sundance, Robert Redford once again. The day started off getting dropped off to the Egyptian Theater where I will groom Mr. Redford for all of his appearances and interviews that he had lined up. After getting him ready I packed up my hair & makeup kit, then I was brought over to The Sundance House HP where the rest of his press junkets would take place. One of the Entertainment Correspondent was CNN Host Nischelle Turner who I have actually done makeup on in the past. I was so excited to see her and actually so proud of her. We were able to give each other luv for only a few minutes. Such a supported person she shared with Mr. Redford how we met and that I was a great makeup artist. How sweet.

L’OREAL Paris Holiday Look At The Beauty Boutique

L’OREAL PARIS invited guest to experience the “Beauty Boutique” at BBB on the Upper East Side to find their perfect holiday look. Tiffany & I from the Pro Makeup Team gave the ladies a classic holiday makeup looks using Infallible 24hr eye shadow, Lacquer 24hr liner, Colour Riche leGloss, and Caresse. The ladies were treated to refreshments with one being my favorite, Baked by Melissa as they were pamper with mini manicures and  given goody bags.

Ava DuVernay Gets Glam At Sundance with L’OREAL Paris

Words can not express how elated I was when I received an email from Tilane Jones, Managing Director of AFFRM and Co-Producer of Middle of Nowhere that Director of Middle Of Nowhere, Ava DuVernay would need my makeup service during Sundance Film Festival. Both Tiffany and I were ecstatic that we would have this talented and amazing woman in our chair inside the Sundance Co-Op Lounge. We had many amazing women stop by but Ava and Emayatzy brought a great energy to the L’OREAL Paris lounge. Ava also made Sundance history by being the first black female to win The Best Director Prize for her movie “Middle Of Nowhere”. Ava invited both Tiffany and I to the movie premier, what a sweet gesture. The movie was ground breaking and brilliantly written a must see when it hits theaters.
On one of visits to the L’OREAL Paris lounge I wanted to give her a fresh not overpowering makeup look with a little glam. So I focused on her lips and kept everything else complimentary to her skin tone.  Below is one of Ava makeup palette while at Sundance Film Festival.

Sneak Peeks & Fun Treats at L’OREAL PARIS USA Product Launch

Butterfly Studio & Salon hosted  L’OREAL Paris USA Fall 2011 event on Tuesday afternoon  while @JohnnyLavoy lead L’OREAL Paris Hair & Makeup Pro Team with the vision of sexy hair and makeup for the models. The Pro Team arrived at the L’OREAL Office on 5th Ave and car service brought the team over to Butterfly Studio & Salon where the event took place. Alison Brod PR and her team were adding the finishing touches upon our arriving. Magazine editors were treated to a brilliant session of new products from L’OREAL PARIS USA launching in mid-December. So many amazing items will hit the shelves just in time for the holidays. I think many will be surprised by but will appreciate all the fabulousness. 
Guests sipped on champagne, indulged on a beautiful spread of appetizers and munched on True Match M&M’s while stopping by each station to learn about new products as they wrote notes in their complimentary L’OREAL PARIS journal.  One of my favorite stations besides the makeup station (of course) was the NAIL BAR. Guests were able to make their own custom nail color. So many changes to L’OREAL PARIS that I wish I could share with you as I’m honor to have been a part.

Glam Day at OPRAH O Magazine Event

When @LOREALPARISUSA called to say that they were sending the L’OREAL Pro Team to Atlanta for @OPRAH @O_Magazine event I was elated. Friday afternoon at the Georia World Convention Center, Christian our tour manager confirmed that I would be speaking on the second stage with O Magazine Style Expert & Creative Director Adam Glassman alongside Valerie (VAL) Monore the Beauty Director. My legs got weak as we rode the escalator to the 2nd floor. Everything was moving fast, I was now schedule to rehearse and meet with the producer as well as go over speaking points. This is not my first rodeo ride working this event but this was the first time now being a part of the O You event, The Lord has heard my prayers.

Last week at the L’OREAL PARIS USA tech center where all the magic takes place I went over to do the beginning part of filming of the makeover not knowing that I was going to be a part of the revealing. All of the hair & makeup products that was used were all from L’OREAL PARIS. I believe in 2-3 weeks you will be able to see the video on O Magazine website….Glam Life Of A Makeup Artist!!!
