Glam Day Of A Makeup Artist Working With Polo Player Latin Model Nacho Figeuras

I always get asked after working with the handsome Nacho Figeuras, polo player, Captain of Black Watch and face of Ralph Lauren’s Polo Fragrances what am I doing behind the scene.
For Nacho media day for Polo Red a new fiery fragrance mixed of spicy red saffron, fresh red grapefruit and deep red wood that ignites the thrill seeker in every man. I got up 6am arrived at 9am at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Central Park. I was able to set up before he arrived. Nacho has a full schedule (MultiVu, Siempre Mujer, Telemundo NY, CNN en Espanol LIVE, People en Espanol, Univision Despierta America, Refinery 29, Cosmopolitan for Latinas) once again, a full day of media, ending with attending a party with his beautiful wife for Vanidades “Icons Of Style” Gala at the hotel. My day is just as long because I was also hired to get the beautiful Chiqui Delgado makeup ready to host the event.
So here is a sneak peek of my full glamxurious day while working a Ralph Lauren Fragrances assignment.

Makeup Monday: Theodora & Callum Summer /Fall Video Shoot

Recently, I was called to give Theodora & Callum’s Summer & Fall Video Shoot a pop of glamxuriousness. I coordinated a variety of makeup looks from summer makeup to day makeup, evening makeup and date makeup. I packed a lot of goodies from air-brush makeup, L’OREAL Sublime Bronze, plus my STILA Stay All Day Foundation, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Shadow Shields and so much more. 
Theodora & Callum scarves have been donned by fashionista Rachel Zoe, Kerry Washington, Hedi Klum, and even style icon Mick Jagger have been seen rocking these exceptional accessories. As thanks, I was given a scarf at the end of the shoot. I have been a member of the Pink Ladies, a group of pink wearing girls since 1978. So I was elated when L’OREAL Paris came out with this appetizing Colour Me Pink Collection of lipsticks, lipgloss, & nail polish this summer. The collection consist of 8 lipsticks, 5 lipgloss, & 6 nail polishes.

Hopefully with more practice I’ll get better so don’t be to hard on me. I do think my baby girl was proud of me because she volunteer to put together this sweet video for me.

My Sizzling Summer In Harlem Was the Theme of The Photoshoot

Maisha Teacher, owner of Bibi Salon NYC called and asked if I was available to do makeup for her photo shoot. The shoot story board was about trendy young adults in Harlem during the summer. I was elated about being a part. We got everyone ready at the salon then headed over to The Cove Lounge NYC on Lenox for the actual shoot. Maisha put together a great glam squad, we all craved each other work that it made for a great shoot with so much fun on set.

Anita Hill Movie Premiere In New York

Just received an email from Director Freida Mock about the upcoming NY Human Rights Watch Festival Premiere, Opening Night on June 14th. 

I worked with Anita Hill earlier this year at Sundance Film Festival doing both her hair & makeup inside the EW Lounge & L’OREAL Paris suite. Each day  I was able to create a different makeup look for her using all L’OREAL Paris makeup & hair products.

Project Runway: Backstage Getting Models Glamxurious With L’OREAL Paris

Just getting back from working at Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. So on this season of Project Runway 11, I was only able to work on the finale during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. As usual our call time was at 4am so I never sleep, I stay up after working because I’m commuting from Connecticut that I have to drive in. Before leaving I got the house ready for the big Nor’easter that we, the Tri-State were getting later this afternoon. So if I get stuck in the city the kids would have food & heat.

I was very excited about this seeing designer Sammy B because I got to work with her a year ago in Harlem for Harlem’s Fashion Row photo shoot. Like many people who meet & work with her, I fell in luv with Sammy B. I was also excited about meeting two other designers, Stanley Hudson & Michelle Lesniak Franklin. I was praying that I get to do the makeup for their models. Stanley collection was very old era meet new era classy women. Stanley had these rings that had my names written all over them. Michelle clothing mesmerize me that I couldn’t even do my work, I kept looking at the all her models that kept coming in. I was Christmas shopping in my head. I ended up with getting two of Patricia models in one of Stanley model.
