| While everybody was trying to figure out which of their favorite stars were going to make MTV list. I was backstage working on the makeup looks with my fab team. Elated that MTV Networks called me back to create a makeup look for their first fashion show. I had to create makeup looks for Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola from MTV Jersey Shore, Actress Molly Tarlov from MTV Awkward, Blogger GabiFresh, Musicain Elaine Bradlet from music group Neon Trees, and 22 models who are also fans of MTV 10 On Top TV Show. I wanted to keep the models’ faces fresh, youthful, and effortless with the makeup. For each talent, I gave them a personal glam look. For Sammi, I gave her metallic smokey eyes, a nude lip, and illuminated her skin then topped it off with bronzer, her personal favorite. On Molly, I also kept her eyes smokey but I added a little golden shimmer to make her eyes pop. I used a light pink lipstick on her lips to keep her makeup soft and playful. On Elaine, I wanted to play up her rocker persona. She’s confident, cool, and hip that translated into giving her sultry eyes. All of the talents and models were treated to flirty mink like lashes from Urban Decay called Black Velvet. Urban Decay lashes are a must for makeup artists and ladies who love flirty lashes. On my last face GabiFresh, I wanted her to look trendy and current. The bold pink lips, and bronzed skin was more her personality so I played with more color on her.
When selecting makeup products I used Stila Cosmetics HD Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer, L’OREAL Paris Infallible eye shadows and Colour Caresse by Colour Riche Lipstick. Of course her lashes, I never go anywhere without Urban Decay lashes.
The show aired on Sunday night and for anyone that didn’t hear, Rihanna claims the leading spot for MTV “10 On Top” music and fashion review.
