Are You Into Chinese Zodiac New Year

Happy New Year Guys! So excited about today being the first Monday of the week. I don’t know about you but I have been waiting for 2021 to happen and to start a new year. As I have gotten older, I dont write resolutions anymore. All I will say is that I plan to use my time WISELY. I do like to read and print out my Chinese New Year astrology for the year. 2021 is the year of the OX and with that being said a lot of great things is going to happen for many of us.

Wearing A Face Mask Is Killing Me Because Of My Asthma

I feel like crap but I feel crap everyday because of my Lupus so on Friday I thought it was just a regular day. I knew I would be driving with ALOHA so I left for work early so I could give myself time to get there on time. As I sat in my car I knew I did not have enough energy to get out the car. I decided to check my pressure to see what it was looking like. I carry my mobile machine with me and I check it in the morning and again when I’m on lunch.

I manage to make it inside to work but not for long. Before I knew it I was helped to one of the managers office with two coworkers holding me up. My body was shutting down. I managed to call my doctor and she advised me to go to the ER because of my heart being irregular. My husband was called and I was taken to the hospital near my home. One that I’ve been to before where they have my records in the system.

At the hospital I was checked in outside, the typical questions and the wellness check was given. I was wheeled straight in after my pressure was taken. They started working very fast on me with; Basic Metabolic Panel, CBC w/diff, Part Throm Time (PTT), PRO BNP, Prothrombin Time (PT) Sedimentation Rate, Troponin T Gen performed 3 times, Urinalysis, Complete, Reflex to C & S, CT Head without contrast, EKG 12 LEAD, XRAY Chest AP Portable.

What I found out was that my body has been struggling since I returned back to work on July 6th. Struggling from wearing a mask everyday at work. Because of my Lupus, Asthma, RA, and having high blood pressure I wear a mask in sometimes gloves at work to stay safe because of my health, being that I have a compromised immune system. Wearing a face mask for 5 -6 days a week for many hours a day I’m not getting enough oxygen to my brain. So my heart and lungs has been working hard and on Friday it had enough. I noticed some chest pains, difficulty breathing, getting dizzy, and feeling confused but I thought it was perimenopause since I’m 50, so I over looked it. I didn’t think it was because of me wearing a mask.

So, what do I do?! I DON’T KNOW. Finding a job that I could work from home is going to be a challenge and I honestly don’t know where to begin. I’m just here stressing and I know I’m not supposed to be stressing but I need to figure out what can I do. Getting unemployment is out I’m still pending since March /April to receive. I’m actually nervous about having to put the damn thing back on but if I have to wear it I will because I have to work. If anyone have any ideas please share.

Our makeup is for everyone Johnny says. We wanted our makeup to be worn by anyone who love makeup. We don’t discriminate, we know what that is like.

As you know my partner and I love naming our products for our makeup line Entitled Beauty Cosmetics. Because I’m in Hawaii and he’s in Ohio, we FaceTime with each other to meet about names for upcoming makeup items that we’re working on. When we came up with our All Nighter Liquid Lipsticks the song “Savage” by Meg Thee Stallion wasn’t out yet and we came up with the name “Bougie” and “Savage” not knowing that this fabulous young lady will one day have this popular song. Small Business Owners Struggling During Pandemic But A Recent Sign From God Has Lifted Their Spirits

As a small online business owner of Entitled Beauty Cosmetics these days it’s been scary not knowing if we will have to give up our passion and dreams. With putting on a mask to leave the house wearing makeup or a full face of makeup is not happening as much. So items like lipsticks, lip-gloss and highlighters are not being seeing on a typical full face beat.

So some days we have anxiety if we will be able to stay in business because the beauty industry is being challenged right now. But every time we get that feeling, God tells my partner and I, y’all ain’t going nowhere. Just recently one of LA Top Celebrity Makeup artists Adam Christopher worked with Shai Jackson on Dancing With the Stars and now Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna. We’re just an online business not a brand that’s in SEPHORA, ULTA or a department store. And Adam grabbed our products to use on television and on his clients.

Hawaii Celebrity Makeup Artist Does Makeup On Tik Tok Star

My baby girl Addison Rae, who is well known on social media for dancing on Tik Tok loves dancing and she loves beauty products. Another thing we have in common, she’s a fabulous Libra. I love talking all day to my clients about things we share in common and Addison shared that she’s a major fan of YSL Beauty makeup line and then I showed her products from Entitled Beauty Cosmetics, she was obsessed. Especially the All Nighter Liquid Lipsticks because they are long wearing and not drying to the lips. All weekend I used Entitled Beauty Cosmetics on Addison.

On her lips I used Entitled Beauty, “Savage” All Nighter Liquid Lipstick and YSL Beauty Eyeshadow Palette in Tuxedo. The highlighter I used tonight was Entitled Beauty “Resting Bitch Face” Spotlight Highlighter.

Just recently my makeup line Entitled Beauty was mentioned in a beauty article on  Beauty Brite “4 Ways To Revive Your Beauty Routine”. It’s always nice to hear feedback from beauty bloggers, beauty influencers, clients, and customers.

I recently had the chance to try products from two brands. I’ve only received them within the last few weeks and am having so much fun using them! I am so excited to share 4 ways to revive your beauty routine!  When a new month or even a new season rolls around, I am reminded to take a look at my beauty and makeup products. I like to rotate my products as needed and as my mood changes! When it comes to makeup, you have the freedom to be as creative as you want.  I like to have fun with my looks!

Add a pop of color to your lips

I rarely wear lip gloss, however, I do like to add a pop of color! I chose two lip glosses that stood out to me: Spoiled and Gurl Bye.

The first one I tried was Spoiled. I found the color to be bold and a smidge darker than I would normally wear. Still, I love the color!

Then, I tried the metallic color, Gurl Bye! I really like this color. It definitely is metallic and on the lighter side. I love that it doesn’t wash out my lips, it adds a nice subtle color with a touch of metallic!

Highlight your look

I love wearing a highlighter! It adds a nice glow to my look! I chose Resting Bitch Face, I mean, how could I not?!

 

I love the subtle highlight that I get, especially in the right lighting. However, I am unsure about the added color that I get from wearing Resting Bitch Face! I can easily use this as a blush or even as a bronzer because it is tinted and adds a naturally tan-like glow! Resting-Bitch-Face-highlighter

How I Achieved My Hawaii Beach Look Using Mineral Makeup

img_1290Living here in Hawaii on Oahu island is like being on vacation everyday. But if you’re a full face makeup wearer like myself sometimes it can be a little challenging when it comes to makeup. The weather here is summer everyday and during the summer the sun is no joke. As a boogie down brown woman I can get a really good tan just by being outside for 30 mins. So, on days when I am going to the beach I try to give myself a softer makeup look and I select long wearing products that will stay all day as much as it possibly can. The great thing for me is that I have my own makeup line, Entitled Beauty and it’s a mineral base brand so it doesn’t cause me to break out when I’m out in the sun sweating. The last thing you want to feel is the makeup dripping down your face and with Entitled Beauty the makeup feels weightless and it’s breathable. My pores are not getting as clogged and it’s not irritating my skin.

I posted a picture of myself on Instagram and Twitter and I received so many great compliments asking about my makeup so I thought I would share what makeup I had on. I didn’t take the best pictures of myself so excuse the quality but hopefully you can see what my beach day makeup look was. I was at the beach all day and evening as you can tell in the video.

The Last Child Is Leaving Home So I’m Now An Empty Nester

img_1652I ❤️ this kid, met Jordan my 23 year old son. I’m trying to get him straight for his first apartment in Connecticut. He’s leaving us here in Hawaii for the mainland. We shipped his car so he should have it some time in July. Today we will work on furniture and getting everything ordered before he fly out.

He had me so tickle when I said I would help him decorate his new place. Jordan tells me don’t get him Walmart dishes. What college boy you know is picky about dishes? Plus, it’s his first pad don’t you suppose to struggle first.

He wanted the same dishes we had at the house. He ❤️ the store Crate and Barrel so I’m looking to set his kitchen up with all white kitchenware, something similar to what we have here at home. Then for his dinnerware and bar set that must be from Crate and Barrel or either Z Gallerie. He’s like his mama, so he want a nice bar set up in his apartment because he also enjoy entertaining.

I’m just soaking up every minute with him before he heads out on Tuesday. This kid makes me laugh so hard his personality is the best. Everything about him is so infectious. I don’t know how mother’s do it. Where do you get your strength from when your kids leaves home to start their life💔. I’m not ready to be a empty nester. The great thing about it is he will be living about 45 mins away from his older sister who’s 28. So, she could look out for him and as a parent this will make them closer, I hope.
