A few weeks ago I did a photo shoot with one of my favorite Japanese models Ayaka, at the end of the shoot she gave me a goodie bag of items from Japan that she thought I would enjoy (sushi rice, rice steamer, candy, eye lashes, and the latest issue of Vogue China).
The model that is in this China Vogue April 2009 issue spread is Chinese model Du Juan. I think the China Vogue is amazing. So, I wanted to share with you a few pictures in this month issue. The cover is my favorite picture because of the makeup and hair…but you be the judge and see for yourself.

Instead of pranking someone today as adult let’s do something NICE/FREE for someone today. Let’s leave the kiddie stuff for the kids in show them we are REAL role models and not leave it up to the celebs.It will be fun, you in?
I have to figure out a way to better pack all of this makeup. I have been traveling with 3 makeup kits sometimes 4 makeup kits if I am doing hair also. Beside getting so expensive its really killin my right arm as you know my right arm is my money making arm. If you have travel with me before then you know I am an over packer. I am a site to watch at the airport. I can really have a reality show just at the airport and while traveling. Lots of blonde moments. Real talk my total I think I may have about 8 bags maybe 9…(Laughing at myself). No Lie…
As much as I hate sleeping in hotels the best part is I have the bed to myself where I can lay my arm out in elevate it every night on the pillows. At home the babies sleep right under me that I can barely get comfortable cuz I always think I will roll over them.
So on my next down time home maybe I will get Envy to help me organize and start putting my makeup in palettes.
Now that it’s officially Spring, I decided to pull up one of my favorite Spring fashion spreads that ran in the New York Times Style Magazine in Spring 2007. What I love about the makeup look in the throwback picture is that the makeup is still current. Very clean face, lightly applied blush in soft pink and bright red lips. It’s the same lipstick colors that the models walked down the catwalk wearing during NY Fashion Week 09′. So as you see, nothing really changed with spring makeup in the last two years.
And though nothing has changed with the makeup, if I could really sit on the beach eating ice cream, gourmet cakes and cookies, and still fit in a bathing suit looking like model Anja Rubik in two years, that may be hard to believe.
Enjoy the video treat below of the making of this amazing shoot by photographer Miles Aldridge.
If you’re a woman on the go, then you will love this new product by Clinique. Clinique came out with their new Quick Blush Brush. The sleek cylinder blush brush comes in six shades. The brush is finished with Clinique’s anti-bacterial technology now this doesn’t mean you don’t still have to keep it clean, wash it every couple of weeks with gentle shampoo and a little conditioner and lay it flat to dry. Now personally, I wash my makeup brushes every night with baby shampoo and once a week I add conditioner to my brushes. But, if you are just using the brush on yourself this anti-technology should be ok.
The Quick Blush tube is the perfect size and very lightweight. So you never have to worry about makeup breaking in spilling in your favorite clutch or handbag.

I don’t know if many of you remember the PBS television show The Electric Company( http://archive.sesameworkshop.org/tec/). The Electric Company was on the air from 1971 to 1977 and continued in reruns on PBS until 1985. Well, I received the call that they are doing a new cast and they asked me to do makeup. I will be meeting the cast on Wednesday and starting makeup on Thursday, so I will keep you posted. How cool right???I am so excited to be a part of a childhood show. I was able to find the link to the old show and WOW this is a very special assignment, I feel like crying.
Do you remember this;
From the theme song: We’re gonna turn it on, we’re gonna bring you the power We’re gonna light up the dark of night like the brightest day, in a whole new way We’re gonna turn it on, we’re gonna bring you the power We’re comin’ down the line, strong as we can be, through the courtesy Of the Electric Company! The Electric Company! The Electric Company!
“Faster than a rolling “O”! Stronger than silent “E”! Able to leap capital “T” in a single bound! It’s a word, it’s a plan, it’s Letterman! (Joan Rivers as the narrator in “Adventures of Letterman”)
“I would if I could, but I can’t, so I won’t” (Jim Boyd as bumbling superhero Blue Beetle)
So, I made Shontell cry over the weekend while I was home. I really didn’t mean to do it. She wrote about it so you can read about it at: http://www.misssassyandqueenb.blogspot.com titled “SURPRISED and EXTREMELY TOUCHED”.
I've been receiving tons of emails from everyone asking if I was ok because their has been low activity from me on my blog, facebook, twitter, and late emails response this week.
I don't know what I did or touched but I messed something up. Michael was able to contact the service provider and they walked him through what I needed to do and he walked me through it and my emails starting coming in a little after 2:30 today and I had access to my browser. I was going crazy, feeling sick cuz I didn't have access to nothing. I better stick with just doing makeup…right?
