There’s A Cute New Sleek Makeup Artist in Town…Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z300

There’s A Cute New Sleek Makeup Artist in Town…Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z300
Written by Brandy Gomez-Duplessis

So it looks like electronics are now invading my territory as a Makeup Artist. At first, I thought it was going to be the air-brush machine but now…a camera. Anybody and everybody can be a photographer with this built in makeup artist. So here’s the skinny on my newest competitor.

Casio Computer Co Ltd has released their new Exilim Zoom EX-Z300 and the EX-Z250, compact digital cameras with a makeup function. This function recognizes faces in a scene to optimize focus and exposure. It makes the skin look flawless in it softens shadows on the face cast by sunlight with the use of an image processing technology. This makeup function will remove your pores and make dehydrated skin look less dull by lightening the skin color of faces in the image. So that means our skin tone will look more youthful with the correct color on our skin while covering mature wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness. Users can shoot pictures while checking the effect of the function on the LCD screen. The intensity of the image processing can be selected from 12 levels. So move over photo shop, the Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z300 will do it all except for applying eye shadows, lip gloss, and lash extensions.

This camera cost $249.99-$299.99

Laura Geller Fresh Baked Beauty

Laura Geller Fresh Baked Beauty
Written by Brandy Gomez-Duplessis

Laura Geller Fresh Baked Beauty is becoming such a popular item that it’s getting rave reviews and comparisons to M.A.C’s mineralize skin finishes. Laura Geller baked beauty will definitely give your complexion that J.Lo glow. With so many types and styles of makeup out there, I really like that these bake goodies are trendy and really work to produce quality applications. From my understanding, the items start out in a liquid form, mixed by hand and then poured into individual terracotta tablets before they are baked for 24 hours. The items are then blended together in this marbleized dome shaped tablet leaving then with a creamy feel and edible look.

This starter kit of baked beauty set contains:
– 0.32 oz Balance-n-Brighten (swirled tones of soft tan/ beige/ ivory)
– 0.32 oz Blush-n-Brighten in Pink Grapefruit (beige/ mauve/ pink shimmer)

– 0.06 oz Baked Marble Eye shadow Duo in Blue Icing/ Coffee Cake (light blue/

blue/ bronze)
– 0.06 oz Baked Cake Eyeliner Duo in Blueberry/ Dutch Chocolate (shimmering dark blue/ matte dark brown)
– 0.07 oz Lip Gloss in Better Than Bare (pink beige)

Balance-N-Brighten is neutral but warm shades of soft tan, peach, and cream are blended together in this swirled compact. Use this powder to even out skin tones and achieve a healthy, glowing complexion. You can use it in place of foundation or combine it with your foundation for a flawless finish. The color infusions in this compact will correct imperfections in your skin, diminish a ruddy complexion, brighten sallow skin tones, and help you achieve a radiant glow. Apply over the face with a powder brush to smooth out complexion.

Blush –N-Brighten rich tones of marbleized pigments imparts is a glow giving blush that’s perfect for all skin tones. Swirl a blush brush across powder and swipe color from the top of your cheekbones to the apple of your cheek.

Baked Marble Eye shadow is baked powders for the eyes that feature multiple infusions of color. The shadow can be used by swiping the brush all over the entire compact and stroking over the eyelid. Or, you can identify different shades and tones within the palette and apply them individually, use darker tones in the crease and at outer corners, brighter ones to highlight. All of these gorgeous combinations are designed to use wet or dry, and the deeper tones work beautifully as an eyeliner.

Baked Cake Eyeliner Duo is a creamy baked eye liner duo. Laura Geller Baked Eye Liner Duos contain a revolutionary formula that goes on smoothly and stays put for hours. The creamy texture creates a smooth, flawless line that can be darkened by layering or smudged for a sexy, sultry stare. The velvety duos come in complementary, wearable shades that are sure to make you swoon. If a finer, darker line is desired, choose a skinny brush and stroke on wet. Bonus point: It becomes water-resistant when applied wet.

ZULU makeup for Mardi Gras 2009

After I finished my last client today I decided to practice with doing the makeup for my clients The ZULU SOCIAL AID & PLEASURE CLUB. The ZULU Organization is interested in me doing makeup for some of the ladies for Mardi Gras 2009. They want something different so they asked if I could try a few things. This is the first practice run and my next one I have to try placing a star over one of the eyes. One of the ladies wants star this years. So I have to do whatever it is the client want….right. The ZULU meeting is on Jan 7th at 6pm so they will make decisions then. Will keep you all posted.

Body Sushi…Party All The Time

This was one of those really rushed crazy days. I had so many parties to attend plus work all day and still do a photo shoot this evening in Metairie by Jerome and Yolanda studio. The young lady we were shooting tonight is an up-n-coming R&B Singer. Brittany and I actually made it out there before everybody. I love that Brittany was trying to keep me on schedule as much as she possible could so we can make all of the other things that we needed to do that evening.

Of course, I could not make it to every party that evening so I was kinda of upset. If any of the holiday parties I really wanted to attend the party of the guys I lease from. I love them so much they are so awesome. I still needed to go back to the studio and take a shower and try to do something with my hair and makeup. Mind you it’s after midnight. By the time we start the night we are looking at 12:45 am. Brittany and I head to the W. hotel to meet my hubby. The W. Hotel was having body sushi tonight but because we were so late all of the good sushi was gone so we decided to leave and as soon as we did we walked right into Laine who was coming in to check up. But I was not in the mood to stay cuz the crowd was so young.

We walk down to LOA , a Sean Cummings spot. He also has the LOFT 523 …wait it’s called something else now…I think it’s now Le Phare. So we hang out, nice and relaxing and just catch up with whats going on with my schedule and all the assignments I have coming up in in Jan 09. Carlyn shows up really late and was she out of it…but she looked good and that’s all that matter. We order a few more drinks and got Carlyn a key lime pie martini. She never had one from this spot. My favorite place …and did she love it!!!

We stayed about another hour and headed home afterward cuz I did have an early morning.

Hornets

It is 4:28 am and I am sitting in the green room waiting for Tyson Chandler and the Dr. to arrive for makeup. I just found out that the hornets won their game last night so I just pray he didn't go out in party to hard. If so his face and eyes will not look good on camera.

Lakeside Mall

Marsha and I spent the entire day just hanging, running errands and of course we had to do lunch/cocktails. Marsha selected PF Changs. I had the key lime pie martini but my best place to get a Key Lime Pie martini is at LOA. We went inside the mall and that is something I have not done in a long time. While she was in there running her mouth I decided to check out the makeup department to find something new to write about on my beautyindie.com page. It was really quiet at Dillard so I had a great time checking out a few counters. Of course I went straight to smash box cosmetics.
I ran into Tony P, and he was very helpful updating me on what was going on at Bobbi Brown. The ladies at Dior counter also picked out a lot of great new key items. Marsha finally found me at the counter and she gave me the brick because I was kinda of working. One of the nail colors that I was interested in writing about she actually purchased.
