Happy Halloween! It’s now Tuesday and we are still without power after Sunday storm so I checked in at Hotel Zero Degrees around 3pm because I couldn’t go another day, yes ladies the DIVA kicked in. I was so behind with beauty articles that I had to get my work done. After getting my work done I decided to pamper my overworked hands by doing Karuna Age Defying Hand Mask. I am obsessed with caring for my hands because the hands really show you age. Also, with me having Rheumatoid Arthritis, I hate my ugly looking hands so I like pampering them as much as possible.
So here are the steps I do with Karuna Hand Mask. Do you like using hand mask?
Yesterday the power went out so I didn’t make a big deal about it because we were having a storm up here in Connecticut so I figure the power would be going In & Out all night. Since it was dark out I wasn’t going to go check nada out. This morning as we all headed out to work this is what we were greeted by. Seeing this I knew this wasn’t going to be an easy situation and lord knows it wasn’t. I’m just glad that our tree didn’t hit the neighbors truck.

In August I was contacted by Tamika with Es Mi Cultura, a monthly Afro-Latina focused newsletter to be featured in their two year anniversary October issue. So of course I said yes, because I’m always honored when my peers reach out to me.

I really enjoy been busy with a variety of things that pertains to my career. This morning started at 8am prepping for a second Skype interview from the team in London about my upcoming speaking engagement.
I have worked so hard as a makeup artist in the beauty & entertainment industry for 20 years and the last few years I have looked at others avenues in the beauty industry like speaking at events about makeup & skincare. So when I receive emails and calls about speaking and educating others it’s a dream come true because as I have gotten older I am looking to stay in the beauty industry but I’m now ready to educate others more whether it’s aspiring makeup artists and/or consumers.
The call went very well I was able to get all of my questions answers and we went over my time frame, topics, and products needed. After the call I headed out to meet up with Johnny to film our second makeup video for Makeup & Martini’s NYC. I feel that the second video was so much easier and felt really good because I once again love to teach so I was able to show a little of that on the second video. I can’t wait for you all to see it on Friday.
Recently, I was gifted with a box of goodies from one of my favorite makeup brands so I waited to open the box of goodies with you all. We also took still pics for content to use on our Instagram page as well. If you haven’t followed us yet please do when you get a chance. Once again thanks to Finlandia Vodka for supporting us with products and our cute Finlandia martini glasses.
Can I tell you how much hard work goes into this whole world of video blog. For now we are the producers, the directors, the lighting people, the camera people, wardrobe stylist, makeup artist, hairstylist, and bartender. Poor Johnny has the hard part he does all the editing. This is why all of those 100’s of videos I have of myself on my computer and hard drive just sit there is because I don’t have the patience for editing. So I am grateful for having Johnny cuz he handles all of the social media as well.
After filming we discuss our next week topic. So that we can have current content for you all.

When I start my week with my cousin (inside joke) Ilse then I know my week is going to be a prosper one.
What Ilse and I enjoy doing is working together brainstorming with each other on business and our blog. We love creating content together and we have hours of fun doing it.
Ilse has a fantastic blog called Live Learn Luxe It and we motivate each other when it comes to pushing one another on how to enhance our blog.
Being a Beauty Influencer takes a lot of work and commitment. She’s definitely more discipline about posting daily. I’m getting there you probably noticed that I do a lot of my posting all day on Sundays. Tomorrow I’ll post an article that Ilse did on her blog. You might remember me talking about it.

Today’s photo shoot I was booked for was in Edgewater, NJ. Had a nice time working with Amber & Christina. The ladies needed pics for their new business OMNoire a health and wellness company. The ladies definitely captured what they believe in because their energy is very zen like. The real photographer on set was Joshua and wife & assistant Anika.
