How Are You Doing Blizzard Eugene

If you watched the news in the last 24 hour you know that the east coast is getting beat in March with a snow blizzard.

So, here is a few snapchat ( @bgdmakeupartst ) videos I put together to share with my noneast readers what my day looks like. But don’t feel bad for me, I’m home working on my blog and drinking lots of prosecco. Do you know I still have not posted pics & videos up yet from NBA All Star weekend so I have a lot of overdue pics to put up. So check back throughout the day as I work on getting them on my blog.

But if you are on the east coast How Are You Doing Blizzard Eugene?

Christmas Day Is My Favorite Time Of Year

Another relaxing and enjoyable Christmas with the family. We didn’t have any family members come up to visit. The cold weather & snow is something that keeps them away. It was just us 4 but with all the laughter, music, drinks being poured and food eaten you would have thought we were hosting. My tradition is mimosa and a bake good before we start unwrapping gifts, then we make our way to the living in sit by the fireplace. For Michael and I it always feel like our babies are still babies. We enjoy watching them opening their gifts. I don’t care how old our kids get we luv having them home for the holidays. So I do go all out for them while they are still home. Once they start their own family there is no guarantees that they will continue to celebrate with us. So I’m getting my time in.

Daddy thought it was time for an upgrade

My next gift for Envy are classes because she does a great job playing by ear but with a few lessons she could be a rock star. #justsaying

Time to move on to something harder….Jalapeno Margarita

Dinner is ready

chiquita-simms

Even though I have a fab time with my family, I always have a moment for girlfriend Chiquita SimmsChiquita Simms who I lost on Christmas Day in Atlanta while preparing for a big Christmas event. She passed due to a brain aneurysm, leaving behind a son. I’ll never forget the day I found out, I was home in New York. I never thought I would be able to enjoy Christmas ever again. LOVE YOU CHIQUITA!!!!

Then later in the day when I finally decide to check my texts & emails I see breaking news of George Michael passing on this day. This is why I try to enjoy each in every day stress free & no drama. Because we never know when it’s our last day.

Christmas Eve O’ Christmas Eve

My day started at the salon from 10am-3pm. It was a fun filled day with over 50+ appointments. Co-Owner Rebecca Sullivan Baglio of Romeo Baglio Design was my first client this morning. A girl always need makeup & lashes for the holidays right? Rebecca also gifted me with a bottle of Champagne & a bottle of Philosophy Cinnamon Buns Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath. She’s a girl that knows my heart, thanks Rebecca! My last client of the day was the fab Laura & Charlotte Cantwell. I always enjoy chatting with Laura, she’s a cool lady!

Before the day was over we had to do a Whip Salon photo shoot with the staff

Ended my evening sitting by the fireplace while sipping on wine. We waited for Envy to return home before we started our Christmas Eve celebration. By 11pm I was out that I didn’t help Michael wrap the kids gifts. So he was solo, thank goodness he’s reliable because I definitely dropped the ball.

Working From While Living On The Lake

The best part about living by the lake is it’s so relaxing! Working from home on a beautiful day like today a girl could not ask for anything else. As I’ve gotten older I like my ME TIME, quiet time. I really get a lot of work done when I’m sitting out on the deck. I turn on some ambiance music from the Parisian scene, electric lounge of Hotel Costes since the deck has surround sound speakers out there. I work so much better when I have on music that makes me think.

I don’t want the summer to go away it’s been WONDERFUL this year.

Easter Was Definitely All About Family

 Happy Easter!

This Easter I kept it very simple. Having older kids, 23 &19 year olds it’s not the same. So I decided to get them lots of snacks, since we all have sweet-tooth in the house. With the extra bags of Zapps chips  I thought it would be cute to use as my table setting. Every holiday I come up with a different and creative table setting. The rest of the day was spent eating, resting and watching movies.
