My Lunch Date With My Girlfriend At Little Pub

Do you have girlfriends that you chat with a lot but getting together because of busy schedules is overdue. I’ve always said ‘Nothing Worth Having Is Easy” that’s with anything in life including a great friendship.

Well, Bethani is my girl, she is my ride or die friend. She’s beautiful, she’s glamxurious, she’s a business woman that knows her shit, she’s a fashionista with a killer body & arms. Her love for dogs in need, and her love for makeup, beauty, and cocktails is everything I look for in girlfriends. We just have so much in common that I enjoy our time we have together.

On my way to meet up with Bethani I stopped to pick up sunflowers because I knew this would make her smile and bring joy to her day. Sunflowers symbolize adoration, loyalty and longevity and that’s what our friendship means to me.

Bethani selected Little Pub in Ridgefield because it’s one of her many favorite places in Ridgefield. Because she lives in Ridgefield it was a location for us to meet up at because I’m always selecting Terra of Danbury. We talked so much that we could not finish our food. But I did get to try their crab cakes, they were delicious! So lucky to have a girlfriend like Bethani in my life.

A Lovely Evening At Terra Of Danbury Restaurant

After spending a glamxurious day in New York with some of the most sophisticated women at The Plaza Hotel eating, enjoying an eclectic playlist of music while sipping on champagne and playing with makeup I ended my evening in Connecticut.  I met up with my besties makeup artist Johnny Luoma and Business Sales Specialist at Microsoft Randy for dinner at our favorite restaurant in Danbury, Terra of Danbury inside Hotel Zero Degrees. I luv that they scratch cook their food and the Old & New World Northern Italian dishes is why I enjoy this restaurant. Of course the ambiance and top customer service is always top notch.

A Fun Photo Shoot Today In New Jersey

 

Today’s photo shoot I was booked for was in Edgewater, NJ. Had a nice time working with Amber & Christina. The ladies needed pics for their new business OMNoire a health and wellness company. The ladies definitely captured what they believe in because their energy is very zen like. The real photographer on set was Joshua and wife & assistant Anika.  As soon as I get the pictures I’ll share them with you. Here is a sneak peek of what my day was like.

Behind The Glam Scene Of NBA ALL STAR Weekend

Regardless of how many years I have been the NBA Key Makeup Artist I get excited about the first day like I’m in high school. My makeup kit is ready at the front door, my clothes laid out and it’s a production getting ready, music on, food and drinks ordered, selfies being taken. When I know I am going to have a long day and I know I’ll be taking lots of pics of myself I use L’OREAL Paris Infallible foundation.

I have known Shannon since I opened my first makeup store in New Orleans, she started out as a client then later started doing makeup. Luv her!


My team captains for all 3 days, all of these amazing people worked with me for the last NBA All Star’s in New Orleans but also for so many other different assignments. If you do great work and have great energy I will call you every time I need hair & makeup in New Orleans. The rest of the team will arrive Saturday& Sunday.

Connecticut Bloggers Social Media Meetup at VOVO Organics

On Saturday I was invited to attend CT Blogger Social Media Meetup at VOVO Organics in New Haven. I was so excited to finally attend one of the meetings. Being that the meetings always take place on Saturday it’s usually hard for me to attend because it’s my most busy day. So I called up my gal pal the fabulous Ilse from Live Learn Luxe It because I thought this would be a great networking event for her to attend. If you have not seen her blog then you need to check her out. Be prepared to be there for hours, I promise she’s FABULOUS!

Wendy and Bonnie did a great job hosting the event and they offered light snacks and wine while the owner Christina offered everyone a complimentary gift bag with a full size bottle of Almond Blossom Skin Oil. With some many great items I made a purchase of Organic Castor Oil & Put The Lime In The Kokonut Body Spray.

I definitely will be visiting VOVO Organics Bath & Body store again as soon as it warm up. Christina shared with us that she just added two new additions to her space; A Tea Bar which provides an array of imported exotic teas from around the world and The Foot Spa to provide a relaxing and healthy foot soak using their exclusive imported Cape Verde sea salt.

How Are You Doing Blizzard Eugene 

 

If you watched the news in the last 24 hour you know that the east coast is getting beat in March with a snow blizzard.

5 THINGS I’VE LEARNED ABOUT MARRIAGE

I’m no expert here but I have learned a few things about marriage since becoming a wifey in 2012. Like many things, I probably wasn’t the best at it at first – I still have my shortcomings but let’s be honest I’m practically perfect at it now 😉 LOL. Learning from some great couples around us and really stepping back and looking at the whole picture has helped me gain a lot of perspective on what it takes to build a marriage. It’s definitely not easy – it’s constant work, work from both sides. And for us we’ve had time to just grow together because we haven’t expanded the family just yet (Oh that will be a learning curve! A welcomed learning curve 🙂 ).

So with Valentine’s Day two weeks away, and our five year wedding anniversary coming up, I had the urge to chat marriage lessons and love. Nope I don’t hold all the secrets and every relationship is different but this is my experience. Read Full Article

Fab Evening Out At Hotel Zero Degrees

After work my partner in crime actor & makeup artist Johnny Luoma and I attended the launch party of Terra of Danbury a new restaurant inside the beautiful Hotel Zero Degrees in Danbury, CT. We were invited by a board member from The Chamber Of Commerce in Danbury. I have been begging for a nice hotel in Danbury so that I can have date night with hubby and a stylish place to hang out with my girls without having to go to New York. I know I know I’m spoil because I am accustom to fab places. And I won’t apologize for it either. As soon as I walked in I already knew this will be a destination for me.The staff was very welcoming another thing I look for when I drop my coins. Customer service is a big factor, everyone was friendly, held their smiles the entire time & they all seemed pleased to be working. I won’t keep you here are pics from my evening out.

What an impressive wine list at Terra, it includes more than 100 labels representing the premiere regions of Italy and California. Terra also features an equally carefully crafted seasonal cocktail list that reflects the menus incoming bounty. So if you’re a wine connoisseurs like myself then Terra is definitely a place to stop when your in Fairfield County.

The ambiance of Terra Danbury reminds meet of Old Hollywood meets Modern. With my career I have been bless to travel the world with my celebrity clients and major production companies. I don’t get impress much but let me say this, once you walk through the doors you will not believe your in Danbury, CT. While at the event I went ahead and made reservation for next week. I look forward to tasting Ethan Morse & Albert DeAngelis dishes. If these guys can give me flavor like home (New Orleans) then they will be seeing a lot of me. Sorry Brio you might have to share me.

Saying Prayers For Nick Cannon While In The Hospital Again Due To Lupus

On no, not again, I just heard that my boy Nick Cannon is once again in the hospital due to his lupus flaring up. It seems like it’s a bad one because his doctors are keeping him for a few days. So Christmas Day he will be spending it in the hospital, #LupusSucks! I’ve been there, not being able to celebrate with family & friends and inconvenience others to stop in come out to visit can be a pain. I know Nick is going to come out running ready to catch up with work that he won’t rest, I know cause that’s what us Lupus Warriors do. That’s our problem we don’t know how to rest. I’m saying prayers that you get better fast so you can kick off 2017 with a bang, #Ncredible
