Adonis B-Day at Club Metro

Miss Marsha, stopped by to get her makeup done for her Christmas Party. I had to wait until she got off for her to stop by to get her face painted. She told me she was going to be wearing a black one shoulder jumpsuit. So, I knew I would give her a smokey eye application with a soft lip color. I love doing Marsha makeup because she always allow me to do what ever I want. I always get my way because I will only give her a look that will compliment her features. Sometimes she fights me but at the end I win…if she wants to look FAB, right????

After Marsha left, I only had a few minutes to get myself together so I could attend Adonis Birthday Celebration at Metro. Carlyn and I were suppose to meet up but Natalie and I ended up going together. While at the event Natalie mom Claudia, introduce me to lots of the Zulu members. Claudia asked if I would do their makeup again for next year Mardi Gras but this time she added on a few men. This year everybody is getting airbrushed. So, instead of getting beauty makeup I have to spray them with the black face. And they want a different look instead of the white eye and lip. I told them I would work on something and keep them posted.

Of course I volunteered Shontell, without asking:))

If Feels Like Christmas In NOLA

What a beautiful day it turns out to be…I was scheduled to go to Theresa house in Covington, Louisiana. Theresa is the photographer that I work a lot with. So, I received a call from Theresa around 8:32am to tell me we are going to have to reschedule because of the snow. So, you know me being an east coast girl I was like oh, I know how to drive in snow. But the bridge I have to take to get to her home they were shutting it down for a minute due to many accidents. That part of the city had 7-8 inches of snow so people were freaking out.

So, I decided that I will just enjoy having the entire home to myself today. I turned the computer on, the television, let the babies outside, made some cocoa, sprayed my bedroom with my d&g perfume, pulled my hair back in got into some warm clothing and jumped and bed. I started writing my article for the tomorrow entry for http://www.fashionindie.com and now I have to write for http://www.caribbeanposh.com Then I decided to bring the boys back outside but I needed to put their coats on because they are not use to cold weather. Since, I did not have the kids home I decided to play dress up with the babies and take them outside.

Within an hour Jordan school call to say they were releasing them NOW. So, I get dress again go get Jordan bring him home and he played outside with the babies while I made him some cocoa. When it started melting I brought him in changed his clothes and all four of us snuggle in bed and while they fell asleep I continued to write my articles. Then, I get this amazing call about this HUGE assignment that I may get in L.A. but can’t speak on it just yet. So, my day was nice and I plan to stay in all day. If everything goes well I will celebrate this Saturday at Adonis event at the Metro.

Don’t Sleep on L’OREAL cosmetics

Today article on Fashion Indie online magazine I wrote about the recession and not letting it stop us from being glam on a budget. So go check out my Beauty Indie section at http://www.beautyindie.com All of the makeup you see on model Sue Ellen is from L’Oreal cosmetics. Most of the makeup is from L’OREAL HIP line. That’s my favorite because of the high pigments that you find in NARS nad M.A.C. Cosmetics. The pigments are amazing to work with. I promise you will love the new L’OREAL Metallic Eyeshadows they came out with this fall.

So go to fashionindie.com or straight to my column beautyindie.com to see what I wrote about today.

Belvedere Vodka Private Party

I have been so busy with assignments, meetings, and now a lot of writing that I have not been able to attend all of the parties that I have been getting invites to. So, let me say this now; I am so sorry for any parties that promoters, sales rep, business owners, and event planners have been inviting me to. Nothing against any of you. My schedule has been so crazy that some days I feel like I am just walking in motions that I don’t even have time to eat.

Last night one of my favorite favorite people called me around 9ish to invite Michael and I to his Belvedere event. Laine is such a sweetheart whenever he calls me late it only means two things…and no not what you are thinking. He either calls to invite his favorite party girl and her crew to his events and/or he calls by mistake when he has to many drinks and play on my phone. Since he sound sober I knew he had an event that he needed me to attend.

Because, I was having a busy day I really didn’t have time to go home and get cute so I just freshen up my clothes and just left hair and makeup as is. The party for http://www.belvedere-vodka.com was cute. I was only able to have 2 cocktails because of my early schedule the next day. It was good to see faces that I have not seen in some months and a few longer than that.

I don’t know why I still get surprise that my peers know who I am or want to meet me. The love they show is so sweet and everybody who meet me for the first time is shock that I am so approachable and easy to talk with. I hear it every time “You are not what I thought you would be like”. They surprise me and I shock them…go figure.

Before I go, I have to say hi to Ms. Nicole Robinson…a long time friend who I respect so much. She’s an AWESOME CHICK…

CUE Magazine

Below is the link to review the photos from the shoot that I did on November 5, 2008 with Gambit Weekly for the CUE magazine. This is the shoot where Roicio faint due to heat and/or not eating. Now when you see how thin she is you will say the same thing “GIRL, WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU”. It would be different if Roicio look like my fat ass. Anyway, I am so excited about the pics and I hope you get a chance to see it this month. Of course, I have a few copies at the studio for myself:)) I contacted Theresa the photographer to see if she could send me pics from the shoot so I can add to my book.

NOLA First Lady of Radio

This morning New Orleans First Lady of Radio Kelder Summers from old school radio home team 106.7 fm (www.oldschool1067.com) came by the studio for 9:30am to get makeup and lashes. Kelder was selected to be Queen for Lady Buckjumpers Second Line Parade and she had to ride in the parade today. Kelder shared with me that this was her first time riding on a float and that the parade route would take 4 hours. So, I wanted to share with you a picture of my QUEEN KELDER SUMMER.
