Brides How Will You Hide Your Tattoo On Your Wedding Day

The day has come, one of the most important days in a bride’s life, is her WEDDING DAY. A topic that will come up throughout the planning by many is TATTOO’S, should it or should it not be covered? Many brides fight with this challenge if they are inked up and or if their wedding party is. Tattoo’s showing at a traditional wedding are sometimes not too popular amongst parents and their friends. With destination weddings and more eclectic weddings, tattoos in the wedding party are a creative way for the bride & groom express themselves.

On your wedding day if it’s a must to cover up your creative personality then here are a few options that have been popular choices amongst brides and their makeup artist.

My personal feeling as a makeup artist that has covered many tattoos’ on brides and their bridesmaids is to let your ink show. I think if you have tattoo’s and you and/or your fiance want your wedding to be about you, then I feel that it’s ok to let them show. Everyone that will attend your wedding has already seen your tattoos and they love you for you. So if they accepted it when they first met you, I feel they will not want to see you hide a part of you. Just know when thinking about getting your first tattoo that somewhere down the line you may be asked to be in a wedding or that you will be a bride one day. So, love your ink and enjoy your day inked up or not.

What Makeup Did I Use On The Fabulous Nashelly Messina From FABULATINA

FabulatinaWhen I received a text last month from the fabulous Lifestyle Blogger Nash of FABULATINA about doing her makeup for her 40th Birthday Bash I was so elated. Whenever Nash call for makeup that means she’s doing something glamxurious.

I met Nash years back when she was with L’OREAL Paris and I was on the L’OREAL Paris Pro Makeup Team. I would do her makeup in her office before attending any big L’OREAL Paris event.

After leaving L’OREAL Paris and starting FABULATINA, Nash hired me for a fun photo shoot with Theodora & Callum. So, I guess your wondering what makeup did I use on a FABULOUS girl like Nashelly Messina? I made sure I had the best lashes & highlighter! See for yourself.

Glam Makeup Looks That I Created At Sephora

img_3123

The favorite part of my job is making women happy and feeling good about themselves. Last weekend each girl booked me to give them a glamxurious makeup look for their special events. With each of the girls I gave them all a custom makeup look. Only a few beauty items I duplicated but overall I used different products. Being at Sephora I have so many goodies to choose from that it’s a makeup artist dream job. Here is a list of items that I used, I’m sure I’m forgetting a few things. Hope you see something that you can use for your next glam makeup look.

Calling All Beauty Junkies To Sephora

The Estee Edit.gifYesterday at work the most fabulous packaged arrived to our Sephora store. Inside was a product box with a brand book from Estee Lauder. Estee Edit by Estee Lauder is a new makeup and skincare collection that will be launching in Sephora and on sephora.com March 15th. It is an 82 item collection of mostly makeup with  a few skincare items. The hip packaging will be chrome with cobalt spray paint splatter on the outer packaging for this collection only as Estee Lauder is not veering away from it’s signature blue.

On November 2014, Estee Lauder named Kendall Jenner as the newest face to their brand. Shortly after, Estee Lauder also signed beauty blogger Irene Kim. Lauder increased it’s digital presence by revamping their own website and changed how they will partner with Sephora. Being that Sephora courts a younger consumer as a go to beauty playground for many millennials, its a great way to introduce the Estee Edit to consumers.

For the social media junkies, there is a Flash Photo Gloss, it’s a blue tinged lip gloss that is suppose to make your teeth look whiter. The collection will be high pigment, with high impact items and include Lip Flip, a canary yellow lipstick that will lighten the lip shades.
For eye shadow lovers, the collection will have Metalishadow Cream + Powder, a cream eye shadow available in three shades. Both Kendal and Irene selected the eye palette as their Guest Editor item on Sephora.com. It’s 14 eye shadow shades including two transformers with black light technology that will glow in the dark under the right lighting.
Kendall and Irene will promote the Estee Edit line on their social media channels and both will make personal appearances at a Manhattan Sephora on March 22nd. Share your fab makeup Estee Edit look by using #beautyattitudies on your social media pages. Here’s the FAB video that was in the product box….CALLING ALL BEAUTY JUNKIES

This is how things often go when you set out to buy makeup brushes: You arrive at a beauty store intending to purchase one or two brushes. You see that there are hundreds to choose from and say to yourself, “I must need them all!” You proceed to spend a lot of money. Months pass and you’ve yet to use ninety percent of what you bought. Burn. The truth is, unless you’re a professional makeup artist or studying to be one, you can get away owning far fewer brushes than you may think. With this in mind, we tapped Sephora Senior Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis to note the seven makeup brushes you need. She kindly shared her favorite brands, too. Whether you’re opting for a basic look or a glam one, these brushes should have you covered.

The Best Way To Disguise Dark Circles

Dark Circles is a challenge that many women fight with everyday especially when applying their makeup. For many they get overwhelmed trying to figure out how to disguise their dark circles. Where do they begin, what to use, and how to apply the chosen product. So I put together a cheat sheet to help you get through this. Hopefully you’ll be a pro if you follow my notes correctly.

DARK CIRCLES 101

1.PREP-Massage an eye cream around orbital bone. Let absorb prior to applying color corrector.

2.CORRECT-In light layers, Dip, Dot, Blend your choice of item

3.CONCEAL-Use exact skin tone shade on top of corrector Then use a lighter shade to highlight just below dark area, or on outer cheek/orbital bone.

4.SET-Load tip of bristles with just a touch of product. Use tip and side of brush to set makeup under the eye with a loose finishing powder.

PINK cancels dark circles on fair skintones

PEACH cancels dark circles on light to medium skintones

ORANGE cancels dark circles on tan to dark skintones

RED cancels dark circles on deep skintones
