Trying on a lil pop of color…BLUE

With one of the new Pantone Color Of The Year being Serenity, I thought I would try adding a pop of blue on my eyes using a blue eye liner. Serenity is more of a baby blue, I didn’t like the way it looked on my eye lid so I decided to try it on my lower eyes. Here are a four blue eye shadow/liner that I will be trying out.

Have You Seen The New Nude Beauty Blender

If your a Beauty Blender Lover like myself you will be happy to know that another color has been added to the collection. The new Beauty Blender shade is now in NUDE! I have a video shoot tomorrow with Ralph Lauren Fragrances so I need to pick up a few. Any excuse to use the new Beauty Blender.

The NUDE will do the same as the original, it’s still a high definition sponge that will give a flawless airbrush makeup look. You can still use the sponge with any complexion makeup product of your choice.

Go pick yours up at Sephora, the best $20 you’ll ever spend!

Do You Have A Fancy Journal That You Enjoy Writing In

If you have been following me on social media then you know I am working on my books. I write every chance I get because I promised myself that I want to have the first book finished this year. The first book will be a fun self help book for girls/women, the second will be about my life as a makeup artist working with celebrities while living with lupus and the third is a beauty makeup book. You’ll always see me with a fancy journal on set, at the airport, in the park, or by the lake. So here are a few new journals that you’ll find me writing in this year. Do you have a favorite journal to write in?

Bridal Makeup:Something Blue Eye Shadow

Connecticut Bridal Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis
As a young girl, we grew up hearing “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.” Well, that something blue will be the new trend in 2016 for brides. Bright, bold cobalt blue will be seen more at weddings in the flowers, bridesmaids’ dresses, the brides’ shoes and even bright bold eye shadows.

At a recent bridal photo shoot I decided to play with NARS Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Giove, a navy blue eye shadow that can be used on the lid for a smokey eye. Remember when wearing a strong eye you should keep the lip color very light so I selected a nude YSL lipstick and a nude Dior lipgloss. Brides your something blue doesn’t have to be hidden anymore, it can now be worn down the aisle.

This year I want to change it up by spotlighting bloggers on my page. This week I selected SARMICHELL3 because she wrote a post about these yummy lip colors from COLOR KILL. I’ve never used their products and I’m always looking for natural, vegan free products due to my lupus. So take a look at these amazing liquid lipstick. Thanks Sarah for a fun post!

Lipsticks: Are You A Pink Lady Or A Cherry Bomb

Two lipstick shades that will always be classic on the red carpet are pink and red lip colors. Pink ladies, whose pledge is to act cool, to look cool and to be cool, til death do us part-think pink!. Many sassy and expressive actress like Jennifer Lawrence and music artist Katy Perry has been seen in videos, and in magazines wearing bright pink lips. Bright pink lipsticks are fun and youthful on everyone. It’s a great color for day and night. Plus bold pink lips allows you to wear a strong eye.
Now cherry bombs scream Hello Daddy! Hello Mom! I’m your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb
Hello world I’m your wild girl, I’m your ch ch ch ch ch cherry bomb. Daring and sultry ladies like music artists Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera are always seen wearing there signature red lips. Bold red lips is a lipstick color that makes you feel sexy. Despite misconception, every woman can wear a bold red lipstick. It’s dramatic, it’s flirty and it calls for a double take.
L’OREAL Paris Infallible Le Rouge lipsticks Fearless Fuschia and Bold Bordeaux are two fun shades that will be great on all skintone. The Infallible Le Rouge lipsticks are bold in color, creamy, moist, and hydrating to the lips. The best part about the Infallible Le Rouge lipsticks is it offers up to 10 hours of wear without drying your lips. So Glamxuriously spoil yourself with L’Oreal Paris’ playful pinks or rich reds, whether your a Pink Lady or Cherry Bomb…. you’re worth it.
Here are others non L’OREAL Paris pink and red lip colors that I luv.

What’s Your Golden Globes Must Have Makeup Item

Makeup Artist & Beauty Blogger Brandy Gomez-Duplessis on set creating makeup looks for The Golden Globes Awards

If I had to pick one beauty product to have in my makeup kit today for the Golden Globes Awards it would have to be L’OREAL Paris Infallible Pro Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray. After giving my client a glamxurious makeup look I would want her makeup to stay fresh for hours while on the red carpet and during the award show. The setting spray will keep the makeup from smudging and settling into fine lines. With all those paparazzi around who need that nightmare of bad makeup.
