New Kids On The Block

You know I am getting my New Kids On The Block fixed this morning. I made back from Mrs Doris home at 7am. What a way to kick of my ME time. I am so excited. Miss Sassy just don’t know but if New Kids on The Block have another tour we are going. I missed them all last year. I was on tour with L’Oreal but as soon as I hear tour dates I am locking a date in my book. If you hear anything keep me posted. I missed the cruise they did in March. Can’t keep missing these concerts. I know your shock that I like New Kids On the Block and I don’t get excited over the guys like Reggie Bush, Chris Paul, Brad Pitt and Usher types that I work with.
I think if I was to get called to go on tour and do the makeup for New Kids On the Block, I don’t think I could do it, I don’t think I could work with them. I would not be responsible for what I would do especially to poor Donnie Walhberg. Those boys makes me giggle and act like a teen again. If I was to get a call to do their makeup then I would feel that I made it. I told you I was silly;)

Sorry Ladies, this is my last client

This is my last client for the weekend ladies, sorry! I am heading over to Mrs. Doris Hicks home to do lashes on her and her daughter Squirt. I leave today to do a 3 day ME time.

No computer, no makeup, no designer clothing, no heels. Just simple items, magazine, books, lots of items that makes happy and keep me creative.100 acres, Nature, ponds, lakes, walking trail, flowers blooming.Just peace

I will be back on Monday nice and relaxed, don’t worry.

PHOTO SHOOTS:Behind the Scene Pics

I didn’t get a chance to post the behind the scene pics from two assignments that I did some time ago. Just forgot that I had them in my camera and when I was in Miami last week I came across them. I actually almost forgot and erased them cuz I needed some space.

The first picture is of a Japanese model name Akyaka Lynn and the second is a bridal photo shoot that was done at The Hotel on Poydras Street. I don’t do a lot of weddings at The W. Hotel it’s almost like a hidden gem. But I do have a wedding next week at The W. Hotel in the French Quarter. I wanted to do a GLAM makeup look that I think would be A great look on many.

CELEBRATION:CINCO DE MAYO

What is CINCO DE MAYO you ask:The 5th of May is not Mexican Independence Day. Cinco de Mayo is not an American holiday. Mexico declared its independence from mother Spain on midnight, the 15th of September, 1810. And it took 11 years before the first Spanish soldiers were told and forced to leave Mexico. 4,000 Mexican soldiers smashed the French and traitor Mexican army of 8,000 at Puebla, Mexico, 100 miles east of Mexico City on the morning of May 5, 1862. Mexicans, you see, never forget who their friends are, and neither do Americans. That’s why Cinco de Mayo is such a party — A party that celebrates freedom and liberty. There are two ideals which Mexicans and Americans have fought shoulder to shoulder to protect, ever since the 5th of May, 1862. VIVA! el CINCO DE MAYO!!

I did not grow up celebrating CINCO DE MAYO…but tonight I am cooking the kids favorite; Mexican Steak Bowl with a spicy dressing. Michael is stopping to get me my favorite Mango Margarita’s.

I want to pull my hair out today!!!

Today is such a stress day for me that I just want to pull my hair out!!!

I need to have my editor pics turned into POSH magazine by May 29th. Dates are not working, I am trying to get everybody (Miss Sassy, Male Model Shaun Grant, and Hairstylist Erin Carter)to Houston to shoot with Aaron & Ray from Red Triangle Studio. I need Aaron and Ray to find one more amazing looking model to complete the look or my idea.

I need to finish up my website just updating it with pics, client list and press stuff.

I have articles that needs to be written.

I have a few upcoming assignments coming up that I need to find hair stylists and makeup artists to work under me on some A & B assignments. I need to get them all cleared through security clearance in 1.5 months.

I spoke with my gal pal
Debra last week the day I flew out to Miami and at that time my schedule was quiet. Now dates are being booked just because I told her she could pick any dates for me to teach. Debra wants me to teach a makeup class at her makeup studio in Houston. Now, I need Debra to hurry in send me dates so I can lock it in my book.

I have to unpack in repack for this weekend. At least I don’t really need much but this trip is not business its personal. That means I am bringing everybody, even my babies. Ani, the big one in size but the baby, birthday is on Saturday so I have to plan a party for him. I am going away to relax, no MAKEUP, NO HAIR, NO SEXY CLOTHES, NO DIETING, NO APPOINTMENT BOOK, NO BLACK GIRL (BLACKBERRY)…JUST COCKTAILS, BOOKS, MAGAZINES, MUSIC, FOOD, BATHING SUIT, FLIP FLOPS, T-SHIRT, SHORTS AND CAMERA. We all need a break so I am doing a Mother’s Day and a family weekend getaway. 100 acres of private land, just us nobody else so it should be peaceful. Leaving on Friday and return back on Monday. So,the packing up the family is stressing me. I asked Miss Sassy if her and her mama wants to come out cuz I know she needs a break. She had a rough week last week. Even though she’s not a MOM but everybody needs a mini getaway. This is where I am going to do my birthday bash. Think FRIDAY THE 13TH MOVIE. WE CAN JUST PARTY, GET DRUNK AND HAVE A GREAT TIME. PRIVATE LAND SO NOBODY TO BOTHER MY GUEST.

Before leaving I have to get paperwork notarized from an assignment I did so I can get paid. I know…in order for me to get paid I have to pay to get something signed so they can pay me. This is a first so I will call either Jennifer Medley or Mark Bloom to help me out. This is why I miss Heidi.

I didn’t get to see my JESSICA DEBEN. She came in town for Jazz Fest I think she’s back in L.A.

I do have a new publicist so that’s awesome…

THEME SONG: Just Live Your Life

Hey Baby Girl (Miss Sassy) this one’s for you. Tonight when our theme song came on at dinner I almost had tears that you were not out here in Florida with me.

We had adopted this song at the NBA VH1-Pepsi Smash Superbowl Bash when our girl Rhianna hit the stage and just the entire time we were in Tampa this song played. We had such an amazing time in Tampa, VIP all the way. Being the makeup artist for such a great event and hanging out with so many amazing people we were just living our life. Living the life of a GLAM MAKEUP ARTIST…and I was glad to have Miss Sassy there to hold me down. Especially backstage on stage with the Fall Out Boys…keeping the shine off these guys:)) Did I tell y’all that Pete only let me put makeup on him cuz he thought I was cute;))

Anyway, just wish you were in South Beach with me…no I take that back cuz you were mad that you had to come back to NOLA after being in Tampa…you would really love it here!!! I am calling DJ IRIE and Suzie tonight.

The Kardashians Girls Does South Beach

By now you have heard that Khloe & Kourtney Kardashians will be opening their retail store DASH in South Beach Miami. Mama Kris Jenner was smart to make this a spin-off show for the girls.

About a two weeks ago I shared with you that I have been getting lots of calls from brides in Florida (South Beach & West Palm Beach). Well today one of the brides is flying me out to do a bridal consultation for her upcoming wedding. In the past my Florida brides have all been GLAM over the top brides. The makeup look that all the brides have asked me for is the Kim Kardashian look. The makeup look that I did on Kim Kardashian was her favorite look, dark eyes and light lip with lashes. Mama Kris loved the dark eyes I gave her and now everybody always ask me to give them that same look.

As you know I have been spending a lot of time in Florida lately, wouldn’t it be great if I get a call from the STYLE NETWORK or Ryan Seacrest Production to do makeup again for the girls on Khloe and Kourtney new reality show! The Kardashians girls does Florida an so does Makeup Artist Brandy Gomez-Duplessis. But I do hope to do makeup for the OCEAN DRIVE MAGAZINE soon. I love OCEAN DRIVE magazine, I buy it faithfully every month. Everything and everybody so beautiful in it.

I am so lovin this song, Accessory by Jordyn Taylor. It’s one that I play daily while working on set, I use to play at the studio and it’s on my MP3 when I workout. So I just wanted to share with you all one of my favorites.
