Who Rocked It? Allison Williams vs Idina Menzel

When you been in the beauty industry as long as I have, being asked for a beauty quote by any magazine is a major deal. I was so honored that I was asked about this topic, GREEN EYESHADOW. I’m such a fan of this shade for the eyes so this was an easy one to speak on. I talked about the makeup look that both actress was wearing, it’s Allison Williams vs Idina Menzel. I selected Allison Williams makeup look because it was such a great look for her. The colors were all complimentary for her complexion. Do you agree?

This Is What I Have In My Hair & Makeup Kit

Since I’m forced to stay home during Winter Storm Chris I decided to do a few things. One being pampering my skin while working on my hair & makeup kit for tomorrow video shoot with Nestle. And the other is my upcoming assignment this month for the NBA All Star Weekend.

Have you ever gotten overwhelmed with trying to do any type of cleaning & organizing? I think I’m there now, lol. So, I’ll just stay focus on tomorrow assignment first then Saturday I can focus on packing for my trip in New Orleans. It’s a total of 8 hair & makeup people so I just want to make sure I have everything my team will need.

I do want to thank Danielle at Alison Brod Marketing + Communications for sending over goodies to help me with makeup. Here is a quick video to show what they sent me.

5 THINGS I’VE LEARNED ABOUT MARRIAGE

I’m no expert here but I have learned a few things about marriage since becoming a wifey in 2012. Like many things, I probably wasn’t the best at it at first – I still have my shortcomings but let’s be honest I’m practically perfect at it now 😉 LOL. Learning from some great couples around us and really stepping back and looking at the whole picture has helped me gain a lot of perspective on what it takes to build a marriage. It’s definitely not easy – it’s constant work, work from both sides. And for us we’ve had time to just grow together because we haven’t expanded the family just yet (Oh that will be a learning curve! A welcomed learning curve 🙂 ).

So with Valentine’s Day two weeks away, and our five year wedding anniversary coming up, I had the urge to chat marriage lessons and love. Nope I don’t hold all the secrets and every relationship is different but this is my experience. Read Full Article

Couple Night Dinner At Terra Of Danbury

Tonight we tweaked date night out we invited another couple, Johnny and Randy to join us out. With both Michael and I having some travel dates coming up we knew that we had to enjoy these next few days together. After attending Terra Of Danbury restaurant grand opening last week inside of Hotel Zero Degrees I knew that I would be returning. No more driving to the city just to have dinner and a drink at the bar. This night wasn’t pretty, the weather was the worst, due to the Nor’easter but I couldn’t cancel.

So as I waited for Michael to arrive home from Milford after meeting a new candidate for his restaurant I do what I do best, take tons of selfies.

As soon as I saw mussels on the menu I was done. When I was in New Orleans I use to eat a lot of mussels. The broth was always cooked with some type of white wine. I must say the mussels at Terra did not disappoint. The food was wonderful. We ate and drinked so much and the wait staff was a delight. This restaurant will do very well in Danbury. If anyone in Connecticut is looking for a beautiful restaurant with a delicious menu look no more. Once you walk through the door you get the feel of being in New York.

Fab Evening Out At Hotel Zero Degrees

After work my partner in crime actor & makeup artist Johnny Luoma and I attended the launch party of Terra of Danbury a new restaurant inside the beautiful Hotel Zero Degrees in Danbury, CT. We were invited by a board member from The Chamber Of Commerce in Danbury. I have been begging for a nice hotel in Danbury so that I can have date night with hubby and a stylish place to hang out with my girls without having to go to New York. I know I know I’m spoil because I am accustom to fab places. And I won’t apologize for it either. As soon as I walked in I already knew this will be a destination for me.The staff was very welcoming another thing I look for when I drop my coins. Customer service is a big factor, everyone was friendly, held their smiles the entire time & they all seemed pleased to be working. I won’t keep you here are pics from my evening out.

Tonight is all about Proseco my favorite brand at that, Mionetto Prosecco for it’s exceptional taste

What an impressive wine list at Terra, it includes more than 100 labels representing the premiere regions of Italy and California. Terra also features an equally carefully crafted seasonal cocktail list that reflects the menus incoming bounty. So if you’re a wine connoisseurs like myself then Terra is definitely a place to stop when your in Fairfield County.

The ambiance of Terra Danbury reminds meet of Old Hollywood meets Modern. With my career I have been bless to travel the world with my celebrity clients and major production companies. I don’t get impress much but let me say this, once you walk through the doors you will not believe your in Danbury, CT. While at the event I went ahead and made reservation for next week. I look forward to tasting Ethan Morse & Albert DeAngelis dishes. If these guys can give me flavor like home (New Orleans) then they will be seeing a lot of me. Sorry Brio you might have to share me.

A Glam Morning With The Connecticut Housewives

This morning I had an early call time on location in Ridgefield, CT. I had 5 fabulous ladies to get makeup ready with lashes. Hair stylist Erin also from Whip Salon met me at the client home. I am only able to share with you the ladies getting hair & makeup ready because the other photos will be used. It was such a great day with the ladies that I felt like I was in the city. Our host Rebecca knows how to entertain and pamper her guest. I still don’t understand why the ladies in Connecticut don’t have a reality show. We wrapped the day around 2:30pm enough time for me to get ready for my No Makeup Makeup class tonight at Whip Salon.

I luv that DYSON dryer. If you never gotten your hair dried with a Dyson dryer then your missing out. What it does to the hair…everything! We use them at Whip Salon but you have to request for it.

After Hours No Makeup Makeup Class At Whip Salon

My first makeup class of the year is No Makeup Makeup. Tonight makeup class surprised me because we had 13 ladies attend. We can only seat 12 so to have 13 attend I feel like I must repeat this class.  I wanted to offer this makeup class because it’s a makeup look that the housewives can do on a weekday. It’s a quick real simple makeup look that can be done in the morning. My model for the evening was Kassie Blaze who is one of my makeup muse.

Christmas Day Is My Favorite Time Of Year

Another relaxing and enjoyable Christmas with the family. We didn’t have any family members come up to visit. The cold weather & snow is something that keeps them away. It was just us 4 but with all the laughter, music, drinks being poured and food eaten you would have thought we were hosting. My tradition is mimosa and a bake good before we start unwrapping gifts, then we make our way to the living in sit by the fireplace. For Michael and I it always feel like our babies are still babies. We enjoy watching them opening their gifts. I don’t care how old our kids get we luv having them home for the holidays. So I do go all out for them while they are still home. Once they start their own family there is no guarantees that they will continue to celebrate with us. So I’m getting my time in.

Even though I have a fab time with my family, I always have a moment for girlfriend Chiquita SimmsChiquita Simms who I lost on Christmas Day in Atlanta while preparing for a big Christmas event. She passed due to a brain aneurysm, leaving behind a son. I’ll never forget the day I found out, I was home in New York. I never thought I would be able to enjoy Christmas ever again. LOVE YOU CHIQUITA!!!!

Then later in the day when I finally decide to check my texts & emails I see breaking news of George Michael passing on this day. This is why I try to enjoy each in every day stress free & no drama. Because we never know when it’s our last day.
