The meeting at The W. Hotel went well today. We met at Bacco Resturant in the French Quarter. The meeting was so we could do a walk through for both shows. We also talked about makeup and hair, press, music for the show, sponsors, and the photo shoot that will take place on Halloween for the national bridal magazine.

Because I am the Creative Director for the event I have more responsibility then just doing makeup. On Tuesday of next week I will go over to The W. Hotel to help with selecting the gowns that Austin Scarlett…yeah from Bravo’s Project Runway will be sending for the show. I had to select all of the models for the show as well as making sure they are placed in the correct bridal gowns. I am so excited about the makeup looks that I came up with and I like the avant garde hair styles that the models will get. I just need to finish my face charts tonight.

David Klasfeld owner of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics will be sponsoring the event for me. Because I will have many faces I thought it would be easier to airbrush plus the look that I want to do will be best done airbrush. David has amazing product so I am glad he decided to be a part. I hope Debra will be able to come down to help out plus she always help David with events so maybe she will come in town. Because I am flying out on Friday for the Oprah magazine event I don’t have a lot of time. I still have not unpack so I can repack. I have so much to do and still have another shoot to put together for the Caribbean magazine that I write for. The article is about Valentine makeup so I need to get Shontell dates to see what day she can come by to get her makeup done. I also have to call Jerome to see his schedule.

Ok, I gotta go cuz I have so much more work to do and it’s going on 1am.

Ok, bye the time we finished saying goodbye and head back to the hotel it is now around 11ish so I know I was not going to make the New Kids On The Block concert. The show started at 8pm so that was a no-brainer. Debra and I were exhausted and Debra still was not feeling well but we both still wanted to go out. We had talked earlier that day about a few of us going to The W. Hotel/GHOST BAR. Since the NKOTB concert was at the American Airlines which is directly across the street from The GHOST BAR we decided that we would go in get drinks and hope to see the guys. We didn’t make it out of the hotel until 12:35am. The GHOST BAR is bad ass, I LOVED the decor and they are doing more work to it. Because it got a little cool we didn’t sit outside but the view inside was so much better. Plus, I enjoy people watching. When we arrived it was packed with NKOTB fans everywhere. Some wore their old shirts, some wore new shirts and some looked liked sluts and a few were dress glam/stylish. We hit the bar and order mojito’s all night. They were excellent made cuz by the second one we were feelin good. We had a great time and just laughed and talked about everything. We didn’t see the guys but by that time it was cool.It was just good to be out and be dressed lookin like myself. We definitely had lots of drinks I just remember laughing all night at everything. We left the ghost bar at 2am cuz we were hunger and getting this buzz that we knew we needed to start heading back. Debra wanted JACK IN THE BOX so that’s where we stop to eat. We make it back to the hotel by 2:30am and we stayed up to watch SEX IN THE CITY. I don’t remember when we dosed off but at some point we did. GLAM LIFE OF A MAKEUP ARTIST

WOW…it’s really the last day of the L’Oreal Tour. We have been together for 1 month and I can’t believe that the last day is here. Energy were good and everybody is excited about going home but at the same time we are going to miss each other as well. We are together for 12-14 hour a day so when your on the road and you deal with thousands of strangers a day you tend to lean on each other. It’s like being in a sorority type atmosphere. I am going to miss working with the crew so many good people that you build friendship with.



My girl Debra from Houston who is a makeup artist and own Renee Rae Makeup Studio was my partner in crime. We did everything together from working, to partying, to even getting sick at the same time. Because we have so much in common it was a pleasure having her on tour with me. Lisa, Cassie, Nicole, Sandra, Ryan, Monica, Lisa (Vanilla), Ananda, Tera, Natasha, Lashonda, Niveva and the list goes on of all the people who were a pleasure to work with.

We didn’t get out at exactly 10pm so I knew I was not going to see the NKOTB show. I really wanted to see the New Kids but I was having a great time afterward and saying goodbye that I was ok with not seeing Donnie Walhberg and the rest of the guys. Exchanged numbers and we took lots of pictures so I now have to check my myspace page cuz everybody will be sending over all the pics from that night. Christian and Lisa I will see in San Francisco on Friday and Saturday.

New Kids on The Block is in New Orleans tonight and I am so not a happy camper about it. It has been what 15 years and I am missing the show. Not to happy today…I have to get through the day knowing that I won’t see the show at home in most likely will miss the show in Dallas since I am working up to 10pm. If I hear one more client tell me they got tickets I am walking off the stage. Everybody that mentions NKOTB, the girls sends them to me thinking that bullshit is funny. You all should see the sour face I am walking around with. I don’t understand why everybody is confused about why I like the group so much. Don’t matter how many A-List male celebrities I have worked with they are not NKOTB. Yeah, Brad Pitt is cute but he don’t have Donnie swag…let’s be real.

So, I just have to figure out a way to get to the show in Dallas. First, I need to find out where the hell the show is. My head is hurtin again, thinking way to hard.

This is so not a GLAM LIFE OF A MAKEUP ARTIST…at least not today or tomorrow.

Here is today's challenge. You know I was pick by L'Oreal to be a part of the Oprah event on the 25th in San Francisco. While on tour I received a call from Lisa Price owner of Carol's Daughter body product. She is coming to New Orleans for the grand opening of Macy's in Lakeside .Mall. She wants me to do her makeup for 2 days but I have already been booked and received my flight and hotel info as well as pick up time. So, with that said I don't know what to do. I explained everything to Lisa and she understood but this is such a great opportunity that I don't want to miss out on. Lisa does come to New Orleans often but I don't want to have to wait for the next trip. But, I love Oprah and have never had the opportunity to meet her as well and this is my chance, can't pass this up either. What do I do???
